Features: 3 levels of porches, 2 hot tubs, 2 living rooms w/ gas burning fireplaces, additional kitchenette, & more. At River's Edge on the Hooch is a lovely, cozy 3-story condo located close to the center of the delightful town of Alpine Helen. The condo is tastefully decorated and situated within a short walking distance from Helen Water Park. In addition to the water park, guests can enjoy the fun and excitement of tubing the Chattahoochee River in the summer months.

This condo is great for families or couples who want to be in town but off the main strip. The Chattahoochee River is only a short walk away and the condo has spectacular river views. 

After a busy day in Helen, shopping or trying one of the many delicious restaurants, guests can relax in the hot tub on the deck. The condo has a propane grill so you can grill your mountain trout or steaks to perfection and enjoy a bottle of local wine from one of the area's many wineries.

For outdoor enthusiasts, hiking trails are close by at Smithgall Woods, Dukes Creek, Raven Cliffs, Unicoi State Park, and many others. Sunburst Stables provides horseback riding and zip lines, while Unicoi State Park Lake is ideal for swimming & fishing in the summer months.

Helen stays busy all year round. Oktoberfest is a great time to visit & sample authentic German dishes while listening to music from the "old country." Visit Helen at Christmas and shop or take a horse-drawn carriage ride amongst the twinkling Christmas lights of Helen's winter wonderland.

We had a wonderful time. Everything we needed was there. We loved the hot tubs so very much. It was a perfect get-a'-way stay. However we couldn't figure out the TV's or ithey have poor internet connection so I took off a star for that, but we managed with out it just fine.

It was very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well furnished. Linens were clean and plentiful. All areas were very clean except upstairs master bath shower needs caulk cleaned and redone around floor edges. Plenty of supplies and nice toiletries. Views were very nice. Hot tubs appeared clean and working well but we did not use. Easy to park but slightly steep incline to access. East drive to downtown Helen and area falls.

Weekend Getaway

We absolutely loved out stay at Rivers Edge. The townhome was beautiful, very clean, and convenient to everything we wanted to do. My only suggestion would be to add some Christmas decore lol. We would absolutely stay here again.

This place was so relaxing

My friends and I wanted a nice place to relax while exploring what was offered in Helen. This place was great! It was so close to downtown, and it was so quiet when staying here. It was relaxing to go outside to hear the water, and we really enjoyed all the cookware to make dinners! I would definitely recommend!!

Great Property for the family

I loved this place. It was wonderful sitting on the balcony in the morning, drinking my coffee and listened to the water. The property was very clean and spacious. Lots of room for three 7 year olds to move. The location to local attractions couldnt be better. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous condo, very spacious and clean. The three levels allowed for plenty of living space, and the two hot tubs were terrific. The location was perfect, just far enough from downtown, but really almost walkable. We are so looking forward to our return trip!

Great Location

The place is right outside the hustle and bustle of Helen but close enough for convenience. The rental had everything we needed from fresh towels to a well appointed kitchen where we could have coffee and make breakfast. We appreciated the back deck as we spent quite a bit of time listening to the Chattahoochie River and watching various song birds. The beds were comfortable and there’s plenty of room to spread out if a family is staying. Very nice!

Helen vacation

Great place to stay - each level has his own balcony with the view to the river ( we enjoy starting and ending the day there, especially if you like the hot tub). A very welcome place . We have some trouble starting the TV on the first floor, should be much easier not everyone is in the new technology era. Overall great place to stay not to far from restaurants, waterpark and other town attractions.

The property was exactly as the description on line. A short walk to the walking trail along the river which we enjoyed very much. We walked to Helen but it was probably 1 1/2 miles to town. Nice to be able to sit on the deck and watch and listen to the water flowing. We would definitely book this place again.

Christmas at River's Edge

My family of 5 adults and 1 toddler had a wonderful stay at the River's Edge. The condo was warm, the beds were comfortable and the layout of the condo was perfect for our family, giving everyone a little privacy. We especially liked the downstairs suite which included a mini kitchen, washer/dryer and a hot tub on the deck. We wish we had been a little closer to downtown since it was a little cold to walk and traveling downtown in a car was not fun since Helen was very busy this time of year. We were especially pleased with the property management. The property was very clean and they were prompt in responding to our questions. This would be a great location in the summer to enjoy tubing down the River. Helen was beautifully decorated for Christmas and all the restaurants and shops were open. And the roller coaster was open too!! It was a memorable Christmas!!

Great location, clean, and the hot tub was a wonderful way to end our evening. Only negative thing was the pillows were quite hard and thick instead of your head sinking in them. The large leather couch needs repaired from a seam that has come undone, but was a wonderful area to watch movies. I would definitely rent this property again.

Clean, spacious condo close to downtown Helen

Property was well maintained and close to all the activities on Helen. Checkin process was very easy and host was very responsive. Our family had a great weekend and will stay again when visiting Helen next time.

Great location, less than one mile to downtown Helen - easy 20 minute walk. Clean condo, and every bedroom has a bathroom which is ideal for a group. Views of the river from the balconies are beautiful. Would stay again!
