Alpine River Suites #404 | On the Chattahoochee River and in Downtown Helen

You are in the heart of all Helen has to offer. In the summer, you can walk to the access location for the Chattahoochee River Tubing. You can also purchase you tickets in advance at coolrivertubing.com. When you get back from tubing, grab a bite at the North Georgia BBQ on your way back to the condo, or choose from one of the many other restaurants nearby. Helen Festhalle is also within walking distance and offers Bingo, live music, Oktoberfest, and other events. Check out the Georgia Mountain Coaster in downtown as well. In Helen there's something for everyone!

Sit out on the deck and enjoy the peacefulness as you watch the river flowing by. Grill out on the provided grill while you enjoy a glass of wine from one of our local wineries. There is so much to see and do in Helen. For the kids (and adults), there is the Alpine Coaster and several locations to play mini golf. Enjoy strolling the streets of Helen - whatever the season - and do some shopping or grab a funnel cake.

Helen is a great location for family fun anytime of year. Come & visit during Oktoberfest where you can try German foods & beer, listen to authentic German music, and have the time of your life. If you prefer to enjoy nature and the more serene side of the area, there are some amazing hiking trails around Helen and outstanding waterfalls: Anna Ruby Falls near Unicoi State Park, Duke Creek Falls, or Raven Cliff Falls. There is something for everyone in Helen; make it your next vacation!

We really enjoyed the stay. The property was clean, and the price wasn't bad. My favorite part of the trip was sitting on the back deck watching tubers floating by in the river behind the property. The weather was perfect for shopping. I will definitely come back.

Cozy Creekside Suite

What a lovely property! It was so cozy with the creek flowing out the back window and the fireplace warming us on our December stay. The layout of the suite was spacious and very comfortable. We also loved being able to park at the property and walk easily to enjoy everything the little town of Helen had to offer. A most enjoyable stay.

Loved the peace and comfort

Loved the "Presidential Suite"! Living are was nice and roomy with lots of comfortable seating. Kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed for our three-day stay. The Presidential/Americana theme was great! Best of all was sitting on the riverside patio in the early morning and late evenings... very relaxing. Location was great, as everything was a quick walk to all the attractions and restaurants.

Almost perfect

The property was spotless and the location was perfect. The river runs right behind the property and was lovely. The view was stunning. We did have an issue with our booking…not their fault. I was assisted over the phone to check into another unit in the same building for the last night of our stay. I don’t feel that I should have to pay another service fee for the 2nd booking but I did anyways of $100. Once we got home I realized my card had been charged an additional $28 fee for late check out. We were past the check out time but we had previously told property mgmt that this would be the case and they gave us permission and all we were doing was switching units. Not leaving. That’s my only complaint.

Ants 'tween the sheets!

A possible omen for the property may have been finding, or not finding, a total lack of toilet paper in the unit shortly after checking in. After 6:00 (office hours strictly enforced) so no need to call anyone, and a quick trip to Dollar General took care of that. Upon entering the bathroom 2AMish discovered ants circling the bathroom sink. Washed them down the drain. A few hours later and found them again in the sink. I notified the office that day and they apologized, stated the complex had regular pest control, and they would contact them to treat and also leave us some extra spray if needed. We were gone all day, returning after dark, and saw no notice or smell that anyone or anything had been done. Overnight the ants again populated the bathroom sink, and several times I had to drown them. Much more prevalent than the previous night, leaving us to figure they had not been able to get by. We were gone all day on Thursday, returned after dark, and during the night the ants returned in force. At 5:30 the next morning my wife exclaimed "the ants are in the bed." That was the final straw. We packed everything up and left, even though we had rented through Friday night, and our friends who stayed at a different property were also booked through Friday night. So we missed our last day in the North Georgia mountains with our friends. I emailed Cabin Rentals of Helen Friday afternoon, telling them of our disastrous stay. They stated they had handled. Not so!

Excellent location! We were able to walk everywhere. Great patio to enjoy the evenings and watch the tubing action on the River. Unit was clean with parking directly in front. Great communication with management company. Would stay here again.

Weekend Getaway

We were in town for a 2 night stay. Within walking distance of everything. We really enjoyed relaxing and drinking our coffee on the porch. Being right on the river was fun, too.
