"Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. It’s an old style building though- so you can hear people in the street or going up/down the corridor outside. Doesn’t bother me- but would be disturbing for a light sleeper. However- Ilfracombe is a sleepy Devon town so there is no noise after pubs shut or before 6am"

"Lovely cottage furnished with everything you need. Nice location with a handy Spa shop nearby and 2 pubs. Illfracombe town a 15 minute walk via the road, or a bit further via the footpaths. Garage really handy for parking in, nice little secluded garden with outdoor seating. Enjoyed our stay, would definitely recommend if you are looking for accommodation in this area. "

"Absolutely great place to stay if you're in Ilfracombe. Backs onto the very pretty harbour area, really good value breakfast and the pub is friendly, great beers but not noisy at all. Our room got a little warm and the mgt instantly upgraded us to a two-room suite opposite and the general service and friendliness of the team who manage the Royal Britannia would be a major reason for going back as well as the beautiful spots immediately around the hotel. Great job and thank you Royal Britannia team."
