Hidden Gem
This property was perfect! Great location, very comfortable. I loved laying in bed and listening to the ocean all night. You are just a few steps away from the ocean.

Perfect location
This place is in the most beautiful spot. Sorkling, swimming and watching turtles meant we had entertainment on our door step. The only thing to comment on is its small for a family of 4. The description of 1br is pushing the truth a little. Its more like a studio apartment. The kitchen is small with little cupboard room. In saying that i would book again in a heart beat.

Gorgeous views
So, let me start by the location. It’s on the north eastern side of the island, very calm and chill area. No Waikiki crowds to deal with. When you drive into the place is not much to look at until you walk into your cottage. Easy self access with the lock box and good instructions. The views are beautiful. From this side of the island you get the sunrise view. The unit is self is very well appointed, blankets and sheets are clean and comfortable. The place had condiments and all the basics so no need to bring. In addition, there were beach towels, chairs and other stuff to use on the beach which was steps away. There is no AC.. but I have to note, the winds you get from the open windows are awesome and all you need are the fans, I didn’t mind it at all. We slept with the windows open listening to the ocean breezes. Pure Hawaii experience and splendor. I would stay again.

Birthday trip celebration
This place was perfect for our needs. Away from the crowds, and quiet (although there was construction going on, it didn’t bother us one bit). Waking up to that sunrise every day, oh my goodness, breathtaking! Easy check in and check out. The place has beach chairs, beach towels, shower towels, two beach umbrellas, surfboards and a few beach toys as well. Everything you might need at the beach. One thing we did take was a backpack cooler for the beach days away from the cabana. We loved staying here. Highly recommended.

Cozy condo with amazing views!
Our stay was wonderful! Paola was easy to communicate with and everything was as expected with the property. Enjoyed snorkeling and seeing lots of sea turtles on the beach! The area was very nice with lots of cool beaches and food trucks along the highway. Would absolutely stay here again when we visit Oahu again! Mahalo nui loa!

Our family enjoyed our stay at this beautiful beach cottage. There was a lot of construction going on which was a little disappointing but other than that, we were pleased.

Great, but I touch misleading.
We enjoyed our stay here. Definitely worth a visit. The initial impression was a bit off-putting. The cottage is nestled amongst large condo buildings and a large parking lot. It did not have the remote location the pictures gave us the impression of. After cruising Oahu it became apparent that this is remote for the Island. The "cottage" was nice, but we could hear our downstairs neighbors music all day. The lack of blinds for windows on the ground in the living room make it hard to get complete privacy. Overall we liked the place, but it did seem like a slight bait and switch. Overall, I wouldn't return to Oahu (prefer the Big Island), but if I did I'd consider renting this spot, again.

Great for the price
This is the second time we have stayed at this development but the first time in this specific cottage. I love the area…no crowds and perfect location on a private beach. Definitely not fancy and there is no night life, but I knew that going in and prefer a more lowkey stay anyway. I would stay here again, but there a few things keeping it from being perfect for my family. 1) Lack of AC was tough in the middle of August when it is super hot and humid…even with all windows open and running the fans. The only relief was sitting directly in front of a fan. Perhaps if it was a different time of year it would be fine? 2) The access code provided on the VRBO app was different from the access code provided in a separate email. However, when I called the host she was very helpful and kind. The email had the correct one, ignore the VRBO app! 3) While the cottage is very cute and tastefully decorated, EVERY surface is filled with knickknacks or decoration. There was nowhere for my family of four to put our stuff! I ended up just moving alot of the items to one area so that we had room on the tables, etc. to put stuff. Remembering where to put it back to when we left was a challenge! Lol! All in all it was a nice place to stay and a reasonable price for the location and beautiful view!

The room was great and the views were even better! I have no complaints with our 7 night stay .. not having air conditioning was not an issue at all and I'm a big guy! Overall highly recommend!!! Will stay here again for our next trip to Oahu!

This place was amazing. The only down fall may of been that there is no ac. It can get a little warm through out the day but with the windows open and the breeze it is very nice in the evening and overnight. I though it was a ground level unit but it is second floor which is not a huge deal but the ground level units have a porch facing the ocean. Absolutely amazing view from inside the unit. This is truly a slice of paradise. Must rent.

More Than Expected!! 🥰
Husband and I rented this cottage for our honeymoon and it was more amazing than we could of dreamed of! Super cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated. It has GORGEOUS ocean views from the bedroom and livingroom area. Woke up to the sun beaming on us (if you choose to leave curtains open), and the sounds of the ocean every morning. The ocean breeze from the wrap around windows is incredible! Kitchen comes fully stocked with pots, pans, glasses, dishware, and utensils. Not to mention a toaster, blender, coffee pot, and so much more. Literally anything you could need to make meals except the food itself, although they did include basic condeminents in the fridge and even coffee and seasonings in the cupboards. They also provide snorkeling gear, goggles, and bodyboards to use while on the beach. The site manager Paula was very friendly and quick to respond when we needed her. We had a mix up in which laundry room was ours to use (totally our mistake after a long day in the sun) and she helped us to resolve it immediately. We definitely plan on bringing the kids with us on our next vacation to Hawaii, and there's no other place we could imagine staying.

Beautiful ocean view and nice beach but that's about it
The ocean views from this small studio are great and it is in front of a nice swimming beach with few people - and the nightly rate is reasonable. The negatives, however, are significant. It is essentially the second floor of a cottage in front of an ugly 1970s mid-rise condo in need of repairs (which were loud and happening). The apartment has not been renovated or improved since the Beatles broke up. Garish colors and stuff everywhere - useless furniture like TV tables and empty baskets taking up precious space. The apartment needs a deep cleaning, repainting, trashing half the stuff, and new furniture. Shower area needs re-calking and just did not feel clean. The bed was an old mattress with a foam topper put on and cheap, synthetic thin sheets that barely fit. Two terrible pillows like sleeping on the King James bible. Uncomfortable chairs. There is no A/C and the instructions require you to close all windows whenever you leave - which is a hassle and results in it being very warm when you return. None of the large windows in the living area open and the lower casement windows don't open well. While there is a breeze, it was often hot inside and at night a bright security light shines right into the bed so you need to keep the blinds closed and can't get maximum breeze. No balcony so you go downstairs to the beach. While it has many windows on all sides, it affords little privacy. No dedicated chaise loungers for the apartment. I would pay more money for an updated, freshened apartment with some outdoor space and A/C instead of this one.

We loved staying in this little cottage. We were able to watch sun rises, sea turtles and WHALE SPOUTS from the bed. They only reason I didn't rate it with 5 stars is when we arrived, the place hadn't been cleaned and we had to wait a couple hours to have a new cleaner come clean and wash the linens. We were just so tired from traveling so fast that we wanted to go to bed. The unit could be updated... but really, those things didn't matter in end. We would stay here again.

Paradise from our window
This is our 2nd time staying in this cottage. It is so relaxing and quaint. If you are looking for stress free living and beautiful views.. this is the place. We will definitely be back next year!

When we got to the proprty, we were givien the wrong acess code to get the keys. And when we called no one anwered the phone, we left a message. After going hrough all our information that we were give. There was a different access code on the very first notifaction from the propery manager. What was told to us was not the code that they wanted us to use. And never in the disription of the cottage did it ever say upstaris or any kind of stairs. I have bad knees and would of like to know ahead time that there was two flights of stairs. We did love the view!!!!!

Panoramic ocean views as advertised
This cozy property (basically one large room, a small kitchen and tiny restroom) was perfect for our family of 4 with two kids under 10. Waking up with the sun, a view of palm trees and the surf from bed followed by an ocean dip before breakfast were highlights of our stay. The sand toys, snorkel gear, fins, and beach towels were great, unexpected perks. There was no outside area/patio/lanai dedicated to this unit, which would've been nice, but not needed. The only downside was our arrival. After a travel day full of delays, we got to the cottage - exhausted - around 10:00 pm...and couldn't get in. The lock box code provided in the vrbo app was incorrect and it took us many calls, texts and nearly 45 minutes to contact the property manager to get the updated code. Also, a couple of the crank windows in the main living area didn't work, but it wasn't an issue. The fans and other windows kept the cottage cool. Aside from the initial communication mishap, this was a perfect home base for our North Shore adventures!

Aloha Laura, So sorry it took so long to reach our property manager perhaps due to the timing (almost midnight) and the holidays, we apologies for that. But we provided all check in instructions 48 hour prior your arrival. This instructions included the correct lock box code for the cottage. Perhaps you missed that part. All big windows work except for a very small window that we decided to seal as due to being in an island is taking about 6 months to get the replacement to us. Beautiful Sunrises and great location!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was perfect for the things we wanted to do. Not a far drive up to North Shore or down to Honolulu depending on what we were doing. There is a grocery store super close and all items you’d need in the kitchen. There’s plenty of places to eat if you’re not cooking too. The beach is literally down the steps. If you want to stay and play, plenty to do. We did come in December so the waves are a bit rough, but we were still able to snorkel and saw a turtle right off our beach. Sleeping with the windows open was so nice. Beeezes kept us plenty comfortable and the sounds of the ocean were easy to sleep to. We had a great time and would recommend staying here!

Beautiful beach!
The cottage was very cute. Small but adequate accommodations abd the view and beach were absolutely incredible. The condo complex was under construction and a little dated but hopefully that will improve. Also, there are not many restaurants locally- be aware you will have to drive for that. Overall it was a great experience and the owner was great to work with.

Beautiful view but description inaccurate
I will start by saying this was the most beautiful view of the ocean to wake up to in the morning. Beach access is steps away and there are many turtles that hang out here! That being said this is not a comfortable place to stay in once the sun comes up. The heat is tough with no ac and when you have every single fan on you can no longer hear the ocean. Also this is the second floor of a condo and there is no lanai or porch in case you are looking for that in the description. The bedroom shutter doors are inoperable along with some windows that are in need of replacing.

Aloha Niki, Thank you for the review. Sorry you did not have a good stay. However many other guests enjoyed their stay with all windows open so they can enjoying the soothing sound of the ocean. Non of the cottages come with AC as most people prefer the ocean breeze, we do not advertise AC or balcony. Additionally, we do advertise as a second floor unit as it provides more privacy and amazing views. As for the folding doors they work just fine. We never had any complains before. The two small windows you’re referring to, we’ve notice that and will get it fix right away. But all big windows that provide the most breeze are operable and in great condition. Much Aloha, Paola.

A hidden gem of Punalu'u
We feel so grateful to find such a beautiful property right on the water. Paola was very friendly and informative. It was nice to have access to a vacuum and supplies that that helped start off our stay (because most places close early in the country). We didn't use the stove, but it looked like the cottage was well equipped for cooking. We used the fitness center which was convenient and sanitary. We also used the washing machine which is placed right below the cottage. The best part of our stay is hearing the waves crashing in the middle of the night. It was so soothing! We all loved the view- at sunrise and sunset! The hues in the sky were gorgeous. No need for an a/c. The breeze was just lovely! Convenient to PCC, and tons of food trucks. Don't forget that Foodland has a deli section, too for your favorite poke! And it goes without saying, the beach is beautiful. Stay here with confidence. You won't regret it! Beautiful Private Beach Getaway!
My husband and I rented this property in 2020 for our honeymoon however we were unable to go due to Covid. The owner was so kind and understanding and allowed us to move our trip to this year!! This cute little condo was perfect for my husband and I to relax and unwind. We had everything we needed and a private beach just steps away! There is no AC but just open up the windows and you'll be fine plus there are plenty of fans:) We were about 50 minutes outside of Honolulu but we enjoyed the more quiet area the condo was in. There is a grocery store, drug store, and the best taco place (North Shore Tacos) about 5 minutes down the road. We ate at the taco place three times! A couple of other close attractions were Kualoa Ranch and the Polynesian Culture Center both only about 15 minutes away. Loved our stay here and will definitely come back!!

Hawaian Paradise
It is exactly how it is pictured! This was the perfect spot to celebrate our 20th anniversary and our first trip to Oahu. The beach is amazing and is perfect for snorkeling. We paid to go to another beach for another day. After it was all done, we decided that our beach was better. The decorations just add to the island feel. We will stay in Paola's property every time from now on. This location has a great breeze nearly all the time and things cool down quickly. There was really no need for air conditioning. Loved it!

Absolutely Perfect Beach House
I almost don't want to rave about this place because I don't want people to find out about it! We want to keep this hidden gem to ourselves!!! It was absolutely perfect! We loved our stay here so much!! We had spent a few days prior in Waikiki and most definitely fell in love with this side of the island more! The secluded, private beach was perfect for our daughter's 1st beach experience! We loved using the available beach toys. The views were breathtaking and it was so amazing having the open windows all night. Seriously, thank you so much! We hope to return soon!!!!!

Take Us Back, Please
Paola's cottage was the highlight of our Hawaii vacation. The cottage is cozy but clean, well-decorated, and well-stocked. The ocean breezes allowed us to sleep comfortably at night, and the view was absolutely amazing! We had a blast snorkeling, relaxing, and reading on the beach just steps from the cottage. The sunrise on the beach cannot be beat, and we enjoyed star-gazing at night. The food trucks just across the street have excellent lunch options and we enjoyed hiking near the area as well as visiting the Polynesian Cultural Center. This is a laid-back part of the island, and Paola's cottage is in a clean, safe, and quiet condo property. If you are looking for rowdy nightlife or flashy attractions, I suggest you look elsewhere. However, if you are looking for relaxation, seclusion, and a true island getaway, I highly recommend Paola's beachside cottage. A true gem that we hope to someday re-visit.

Beautiful condo right on the beach, pure oasis
We were beyond thrilled with our stay and experience. The condo was very clean with a lot of amenities. The ocean breeze helped to keep it cooler in the evenings. Love the location, quiet and relaxing with awesome sunrises. If we come back we will definitely stay here again!!

Where Do I Start
This Property is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Sunrises Everyday are just Spectacular. Going to sleep with wave sounds, waking up to a view of the ocean right from your bed or breakfast table. So much more laid back than Wakiki Area. Having a private beach to enjoy any time you want is priceless. Paola has EVERYTHING you need, beach chairs, snorkel equipment, fully stocked kitchen, bath etc. Thanks Paola for helping us celebrate our 40th Anniversary in a Spectacular Fashion.

Wonderful
We stayed a week and had the best time. Swam with the turtles several times. Polynesian center is right down the road several food options available there. A grocery site near by. Sharks cove is a great snorkeling adventure. The Shrimp shack is very good. Very laid back. So much to do in the area without the hustle and bustle of Honolulu. I would highly recommend staying here.

Perfect beach front cottage
We were blown away by the location of this cottage. Literally. It is on the beach and because our trip was in late February/early March, the winds were insane-20-30 mph at times BUT that is to be expected on the Windward side. This was my 3rd time visiting Oahu, my husband’s and our two kids’ first to Oahu. I knew from my previous trips that I did not want to stay on Waikiki with all her hotels, shops and high rises. We wanted to be in the jungle and that’s what we got. We were within 30-60 mins away from all our activities. The cottage was clean, cute and cozy. If given the chance, we would definitely book again.

A Perfect Cottage With A Perfect View
The title says it all. Enjoyed the fully equipped property, brightly decorated interior, unique and cozy, Ilarge windows that opened up to a panoramic view of the ocean and beach. Paola (the owner) was wonderful, easy to reach and helpful. We will be back!

Perfect and relaxing location!
We absolutely loved this location! Located just a few steps from the beach you can take a walk on the beach with a coffee in hand and enjoy the rising sun. I definitely agree that renting a car is a must. We only had one issue arise during check in but the owner Paola was quick to respond. We would love to stay in this place again!

The stay here was absolutely marvelous, the view of the ocean from this property is breathtakingly beautiful. It is always breezy inside thw house so even in hot day it is really cool inside. We loved our time by the beach and eating breakfast by the ocean. Paola's place is very clean and has necessary amenities for your perfect vacation, the closet has body borads and snorkels for a swim in the ocean. There are multiple places nearby dor eatery and drinks such as papa ole's and aloha shrimp that serve exceptional food. Sunset beach is just 20 mins away, and there are many hinking trails nearby that one can explore with really glorious viewa. Will definitely recommend this to anyone who decides to vacay on noeth shore!!

Beach Cottage with gorgeous view!
We absolutely loved our experience. This cottage was so cute and had all of the essentials! An added bonus for us was the skuba gear because we got to swim with turtles! No air conditioning, but a lot of fans and windows to keep you cool. The only issue was that they never sent us the updated code for the lock box, but immediately called us back.

Perfect Place to Get Away From It All
Beautiful location, great accommodations. Quiet, right on the beach, turtles swimming off the shore. Definitely recommend a rent-a-car.

Beautiful location, perfect staycation.
Very nice and relaxing location right on the beach. Loved the little food trucks almost right across the street. Due to the strong tradewinds, this area is prone to portuguese man of war invasion, otherwise it’s a beautiful beach to swim and fish.

Aloha Jill, Thank you for your review, during years of swimming and snorkeling we haven't have any incidents with man of war, not us not our guests have reported any incidents at all. You probably spotted a Vellela more commonly know as "by-the-wind sailors" wish are harmless to humans. We see them very few times a year, wouldn't qualify it as an invasion.

“A Little Slice of Paradise at a Good Price!”
In not wanting to travel off island, we decided a local beach cottage “staycation” would help us feel like we had something special to enjoy this summer & our stay did not disappoint. We felt that we got so much for our money, including a spectacular beachfront view to wake up to every morning, wonderful beach access (good sand frontage & clear calm water in the morning with fun waves at afternoon’s high tide), with a nice grassy area in between. We saw, and swam, with sea turtles every day! The cottage was cozy & well appointed, with great & easy parking, & I especially liked that there was a washer/dryer nearby to use when needed. It was great to have our towels & suits dry & ready for the beach the next day! I don’t barbecue, but I could see how having it nearby like it is would be a great feature for some. After 5 nights, we were not ready to go back to town & were fortunate to extend our stay another couple of days. Paola, the mgr, was very responsive & easy to communicate with. We loved staying in her adorable “hale” & will definitely do it again! Thank you Paola for helping us create wonderful family memories!

Great view to wake up to every morning!
This property was great if you need a little place to lay your head at night. Although, this property really needs a good deep clean of all areas. My family owns a rental property so I know places need to be deep cleaned often during rental seasons. There was also some silverware and knives that needed to be replaced. If the rental was cleaned and updated a little, I could of give this property a better rating! If your looking for a place that is easy to access a personal beach and activities on the north side of the island this place is perfect.

We have completed a deep cleaning and per your suggestion replaced all silverware 😊�👌� We do offer thrill cleaning with every stay, unfortunately during windy season the cottage gets more dust than usual.
