Oceanfront-Modern-Romantic Getaway

Oceanfront efficiency located on Hatteras Island in Hatteras Village. Steps away from the beach. Our full kitchen has granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and is very well equipped. We have everything from martini glasses to a coffee press. Our full bath has a walk-in 48' shower with plenty of storage. The queen captains bed has a comfy pillow top mattress, for a great nights sleep. The queen sleeper sofa is great to just stretch out on and read a good book. We have 2 bar height chairs on our upper deck for star gazing and a dining table with 4 chairs on our lower deck. The front balcony is perfect to just kick back and sip some of your favorite adult beverage. There are plenty of community grills and a fish cleaning station, just in case you reel the big one in. Come spend your vacation at our cozy romantic cabana. Life is just better on the island!

Perfect Getaway!

This was my third stay in the cabana and I hope to return many more times. It was the perfect location and size for my aunt and I. The cabana was generously stocked and we had everything we needed for our stay. We had a wonderful time and made lots of special memories.

Greatest vacation in years

The cabana was absolutely perfect as was the weather. It’s right in the beach so getting set up every day was no issue. I also ate the best seafood every night. Will definitely be returning.

Loved the beachy decor of the Cabana! Small but functional with everything you need for your stay. Steps away from the ocean. A fun beach for beachcombing and watching the dolphins frolic. The host Terri was very informative and was quick to answer any questions. Lots to see in the area. The top deck gave awesome views of the ocean! We would definitely go again! An absolutely adorable cabana right on the beach, what more can you ask for? It’s tiny, but a reasonable size for two people. The host was very communicative, and even let us check in a little bit early! The place was clean and Hatteras was nice, quiet, and relaxing. It was a very lovely stay.

This unique little community is several one room cabins in a row. The cabin is well furnished and clean. The owner was responsive when we had questions about upcoming hurricane. We had a wonderful time! Quiet restful getaway for two! Easy walk to beach. Quaint town in Outer Banks. Didn’t want to leave!

It was off season for our stay so there were not a lot of people around. Most of the stores and restaurants were closed for the season but we knew that going so it was okay. The flat was great! Small, quaint, and just right for a couples get away! We will most likely try to book this place next time we go to Hatteras

What a treat to get away and stay at the Sea La Vie cabana! Everything we needed was there - And the beach! Watching the sunsets and sunrises and ocean from the upper deck was beautiful. It’s not a totally unobstructed vote of the beach but you could see it and hear it from the cabana. They provided a nice variety of music and dvds and books also. Loved it!

The cabana was the perfect size for the two of us, there was lots of storage space for everything so we never felt crowded. We stayed in for a few meals and everything was there we needed. You can sit on the top deck and relax and enjoy the view of the waves rolling in or a 30 second walk to walk the beach. The availability of the beach chairs under the deck were very appreciated. Our next trip to OBX will start with a search for the cabanas availability!

Had a great time- loved the beach and location. Our rental contact was great at communicating with us through the hurricane situation and a concern we had at the cabana. Would have really appreciated the cabana cupboards and cabana not so overloaded with dishes, glasses and utensils-, decorations-no place to put anything away- space inside could be better utilized. Personal preference.

Sea La Vie Cabana 💚

This was our 2nd stay at Sea La Vie but our 1st 2 week stay! Our host is amazing, the cabana has everything you could need/want, is clean and tidy and oh so cute. Bed is soft, fridge is cold, air conditioner is cold, and you are literally a minute from the beach. The above deck is so awesome and the view is amazing! No doubt in our minds (& we have already agreed! 😂) that we will be back next year! 💚🌊💚

Long-awaited honeymoon

My husband and I came for a four-night stay over Thanksgiving, to finally have some time away and a "honeymoon" over a year after our wedding :D This trip was just what we needed and wanted! The property was clean, pretty, conveniently located, and had almost everything you could need or want. We didn't think to bring towels with us...make sure you do that (personal and beach towels), and also bring paper towels and a few more blankets (this info is in the details they gave, but I completely missed it, that was my fault). Overall, amazing place. The kitchen was fully-stocked and we made some wonderful meals in it! The bed was comfy, the water pressure in the shower was good, and we were very happy with our choice. The weather was chilly and rainy most of the time we were there, so we didn't get to enjoy the roof deck as much as we would have liked, but the view was beautiful, night and day. Beach access was easy. The location itself is convenient to pretty much everything. The owner was kind and prompt in her responses to our questions. The guest book was full of wonderful little stories, snapshots of others who had come and stayed and enjoyed themselves to. Definitely coming back!

Hatteras long weekend

Overall, I would rate our stay as 3.5 stars. The amenities that we enjoyed: The community of Hatteras overall is very lovely; small, remote, family-oriented, and we would visit again. We enjoyed the lighthouses and highly recommend Sonny's restaurant. In addition, we enjoyed having the beach within a very short walking distance from the Cabana. The price point for the property is also very reasonable. The square space was adequately advertised for the Cabana, however, for more than one person we would suggest more space for bags, groceries, etc. The main factor that reduces the rating below 5 stars is the cleanliness of the Cabana at check -in. The shower has stains/black mold in it, the glassware above the sink needed a good dusting along with the ceiling fan. The lamp beside the bed was stained with what appeared to be soda (lots of brown dots??), the bathroom shelving was old and rusted. The kitchen was overly stocked with cookware (junky) and took away from grocery storage. Lastly, the cabana should have a landline for emergencies.
