"Our stay was excellent. Everyone from Maria to Joe were very welcoming and friendly during our stay. Our cabaña was very cozy and clean when we arrived and during our stay. If we return to Placencia, Hotel Azure Del Mar will be our choice."
"The resort was beautiful and very well kept, both the grounds (including beach and pool area), and the rooms! Maid service everyday with fresh towels, trash disposal, made beds, filling up water jugs, sweep, mop… the works! We stayed in a two bedroom ocean view suite and it was perfect for our family of 4. The full kitchen was a great option for cooking a few dinners when we didn’t want to go out. The restaurant Casa De Maize was delicious, everything we tried was amazing! The staff is SO friendly and accommodating as well! You can tell that everyone who works there takes pride in their job and wants everyone to have a great experience! They can arrange shuttle rides into town, or to the store for a small fee, or there is a free daily shuttle that goes into Placencia as well. The swim up bar is a fun option for drinks, or you can make your own and bring them to the pool ( just bring a yeti cup). The pool is right on the beach and they work hard to keep it in good shape. There was seaweed while we were there, but they do their best to keep it to a minimum on the shore. The lagoon side is really beautiful as well (that is where the restaurant is) my son bought a fishing pole in town and enjoyed fishing off the dock there and the pier on the ocean side. There is also a little fire roasted pizza place by the pool to get food as well. You can charge things to your room which is nice. All in all we had an awesome time at the Umaya resort and would highly recommend staying here!!!!"
Sirenian Bay Resort - Villas & All Inclusive Bungalows
10/10 Excellent
"I have traveled all over the Caribbean and stayed at many beautiful resorts with exceptional service, but nothing compares to my experience at **Sirenian Bay Resort** in Belize.
From the moment we arrived until the day we left, the staff was the most professional, courteous, and genuinely caring team I have ever encountered. They didn't just provide great service—they made us feel like family. Every interaction was warm, welcoming, and sincere.
One staff member who truly stood out was **George**. His attention to detail, professionalism, and willingness to go above and beyond made our stay unforgettable. He was always attentive, accommodating, and seemed to anticipate our needs before we even had to ask. George is a tremendous asset to the resort.
The resort itself was absolutely immaculate. Every area was spotless, beautifully maintained, and designed to create a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The vibe was exactly what we were looking for—quiet, welcoming, and the perfect place to unwind.
And let's not forget the food! Every meal was delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The drinks were equally impressive, expertly crafted, refreshing, and the perfect complement to each day in paradise.
If you're looking for a resort that combines luxury, incredible hospitality, outstanding food, and a relaxing atmosphere, look no further than Sirenian Bay Resort. Thank you to George and the entire staff for making our stay so memorable. We will definitely be back!"
"Nice room with king bed and a kitchenette. Nice to have coffee and a refrigerator in the room. AC worked great! Staff was over the top and made me feel so welcome. I was on motorcycle and they even let me bring in property rather than leaving in a public parking lot blocks away. Great ocean view and great breeze every day. Only drawback and I didn’t find it to be. Barefoot bar right next door so music until about midnight. I was surprised… fell asleep easily and slept great… so like I said maybe not a drawback!"
"Great stay! Breakfast and lunch were awesome, dinner non meat options at the resort could’ve been improved in my opinion, but overall we enjoyed the food 7-8/10. The spa quality was outstanding despite our therapist not being accustomed to homosexual couples experiences, their hand strength and overall professionalism made up for the awkward conversation beforehand. Loved the gym! Amenities and staff were also great. We would stay again."
"The resort is situated beach front and the view is beautiful. We were there during slow season so certain things weren't open or limited. The food was great! The Pool was wonderful. Service was a little slow but I think it was from lack of staff since it was slow season. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Our room was perfect our family of 5. 3 adults 2 children. Air conditioning worked great. There was trouble getting into our room when we arrived due to faulty key issues. The resort itself could use some repairs. The pool lights were out, some outdoor lights were out, coffee maker was broken. We advised the front desk but wasn't fixed while we were there. The rug is main living area had huge stain on it and should have been replaced. The wood flooring in the outdoor areas was a little hazardous boards were loose in many areas and my grandson even stepped on a rusted screw that had come out of one (fortunately it didn't cut him). Rooms were cleaned daily. While we enjoyed our stay I can't say for I would stay there again unless some upgrades were done."
