The Port Hotel

"This was a wonderful experience. This 10 room hotel is on Main Street of downtown Port Washington. It was a 5-10 minute walk to the harbor and Lake Michigan. It was quirky and hosted by owner Jim Read. There is currently no elevator so some seniors might be disappointed. The stairs were steep with smaller treads than we are used to. The room key was located on a bedside table in our room. There was a sweet lounge room which was where to could get 24 hour continental breakfast. It was unlike any breakfast we’ve had, ever. Most every thing were Costco products. Baked goods were fresh. The fridge and freezer were great. Freezer omelettes , breakfast burritos , nussa yogurt. We will stay here again."

"The suite was perfect for all of us. The beds were clean and soft and the breakfast was nice. I loved the location and that it was walking distance to Lake Michigan. We played and swam at the beach all day. I would stay here again and the front desk ladies were very friendly and gave us great tips on what to do. I recommend the bookworm for kids close by too!"

"The room was clean. I couldn’t get the window to lock; the man at the front desk fixed it. The room had a microwave, mini fridge, blow dryer, Kleenex. No pool. I also didn’t see a snack machine of any kind. They provide a good area to walk the dog. The motel was very close to the highway I was traveling on. I wish they provided a continental breakfast. I wish they provided a channel guide for the tv. Like most Motel 6’s, you can easily tell that it’s an older building that could use a makeover (desperately!) but management does the best with what they have. I try to find this Motel chain while I am traveling because their price is reasonable and they don’t charge extra for my dog. I felt safe while staying there; I was traveling alone."

"The staff was very polite and helpful. The hotel was pretty clean for the most part. The floors could have been swept better. Maintenance wise, the toilet had too much caulk that was spread around the toilet. It was turning the color of urine. I wiped it with a rag to see if it was clean. It appeared to be stained not neglected during cleaning."

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing stay! The hotel was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable with plenty of pillows, the TV was great, and the bathroom was spotless. Everything overall was very clean and well kept. What really stood out to me was the amazing customer service! I had to leave before 6 AM for work, and the front desk staff even offered to have breakfast ready early for me. That was so thoughtful and definitely appreciated! 🥰 I had a wonderful experience and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend! ❤️"
