"Very clean and bright space, all new appliances. 1 queen bed (which is on the softer side rather than firm) but there is plenty of space to have a blow up mattress if you have an extra person/children in your party."

"This is an old style motel. It was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. The owner even offered a bagel and coffee to go as we Needed to get on the road. The room was large and had very comfortable beds We love old motels and this did not disappoint!!"

"This was a very nice, historic B&B. Our room was comfortable but a bit crowded with knick-knacks. The bed was comfy and the shower worked well. Breakfast was fresh cooked to order and was well prepared. The hosts were friendly and had good suggestions for things to do in the area and places to eat."

"Stayed at this property August 2-4 2026 with my husband & another couple . The place was very clean & modern . There was no kitchen table which we found inconvenient. Only 2 chairs with small coffee table up against wall the place sleeps 4 . An nespresso machine but no pods we had to go out buy coffee . Cookware is terrible . TV had very limited channels . Never heard from host I had to email him the day of to get code to get in . While these are only minor complaints I feel that a little better communication & little more thought to your guests for the price we paid !"

"We had an amazing week at Harry John's House and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The house is comfortable, full of Newfoundland charm, and the view is simply incredible. We spent hours sitting outside watching the fishing boats come and go from the harbour, and on our very first day we were lucky enough to see a whale breach just offshore. That alone made the trip unforgettable!Our host was friendly, welcoming, and always quick to help if we had any questions.The weather didn't completely cooperate, the fog and clouds hid the sunsets most evenings, but that's Newfoundland, and it didn't stop us from having a fantastic vacation.Cupids was the perfect home base for exploring the area. We really enjoyed visiting the Cupids Legacy Centre and the archaeological site, and we loved taking a short drive to Brigus to wander the beautiful streets, have dinner at The Quay, and listen to live music at The Convent Bar. We also spent a day in St. John's enjoying the festival and all the activity, but it was always nice to come back to the quiet and peaceful setting of Harry John's House at the end of the day.Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We left with wonderful memories and would absolutely stay here again."
