"The hotel is very clean with polite staff and a convenient walk to the nearest train station. The only improvements I would make, would firstly be the windows. We were not able to open the window to get any fresh air, plus the window was made of frosted glass, so we couldn’t even look outside. This made us feel quite claustrophobic. Also, there are no areas downstairs for guests to relax unless we pay to eat at the restaurant. In other hotels, there are lobbys with sofas, where you can rest, which was particularly needed after a 13 hour flight and it was too early for us to check in - but there was nothing like that here. However, we still enjoyed our stay. A few improvements as mentioned, would make a difference and make us want to return."

"Beware of the hill leading up to the entrance from Shinagawa station - it's not like SF hill, but, if you have luggage, understand that there is a walk, which your map app will show you and that much of that is an incline. (I saw quite a few other tourists trudging up the hill huffing and puffing wondering where the entrance was. The hotel has a beautiful buffet breakfast (and 2 other restaurant choices) so opt into the Breakfast included option. The property is clean, the lobby is spacious and gorgeous, there is a very convenient 7/11 in B1, but the rooms are dated. I'd stay there again if the price was right, but I'm knocking a star for the rooms feeling dated and the hill. Hopefully, if you are aware of it, it won't be a problem."
