"The property was easily found by using a Sat Nav. The property inside and outside was very clean. There is a narrow gravel drive up to the property so Parking was in the village square which was a short walk around the outside of the pub, so not recommended for disabled as there is also steps up to the entrance door. The entrance was a wooden decking which had a range of colorful potted plants and well maintained. The owner was very helpful with directions and places to visit and eat...

"The room was clean and well maintained and the staff were friendly and helpful both during our stay and in communications before. The hotel was quite busy which made for a strange breakfast situation where many people were eating their breakfast in the lobby. I didn't much enjoy eating my breakfast in front of the lift, but the food was good. We had a twin room and unfortunately I did not get on well with my bed. In fact I can't remember a more uncomfortable bed in any hotel I've stayed in. The other bed was not as bad, but I ended up sleeping on top of the duvet, folded over twice, which much improved it. Nice and quiet in the room and with excellent blackout curtains."

I last stayed here 15 years ago, it was great to see how it has been modernised since then and the general feel to the place made it a comfortable stay. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. "The rooms were comfy but fairly small - bathroom was fairly basic no space to put a bath bag. We were charged £15/day for parking which I think is a bit steep when you have already paid for a room, its not v welcoming when you arrive. The spa facilities were excellent, probably the best in the area. Room service food (after 9pm) was pretty poor. lukewarm soup, stale sandwich. breakfast was fairly good though."
