Comfortable, well-equipped cottage for sightseeing in South Devon.
Comfortable, well-equipped cottage for sightseeing in South Devon. We appreciated the plate of scones, clotted cream and bottle of wine ready for our arrival. The bed was 5* - so comfy and relaxing. Nicely decorated throughout. The owners, Kate and Simon, were friendly and ready to help with any request. We found it easy to journey to Paignton, Torquay, Dartmouth and even Exeter during our week stay.

Home from home for us.
Home from home for us. Our fourth visit and not our last. Hattie loves playing ball in the field opposite. You can walk to Totnes easily from the cottage via Dartington and a straight route takes you there in hour! Love going to Nkuku and Riverford kitchen restaurant (book well in advance) even went to see a musician in Totnes (st Mary’s church) and Ashburton hall, amazing venues.Great stay, comfy bed and all the amenities you need to cook, thank you ðŸ™

The only reason I gave this 4 stars rather than 5 was that I was rather taken aback to see one of the family members' cars parked in what is supposed to be the guest's garden, right in front of the table for sitting out to enjoy your coffee. It departed after a couple of days.I was very grateful to them for the bunny being able to be set up near their shed, though, and Kate was very friendly when we managed to meet on the Sunday. There's a lovely welcome pack, much appreciated after a very long journey. Nice, compact accommodation. I managed to set off the smoke alarm several times, just heating a little oil or cooking sausages, so you have to cook with the expel air switched on at the cooker and windows /door open to be sure it won't happen! It's a great base for exploring Dartington / Totnes, which are reachable on foot, and exploring nearby footpaths. Driving around, I found a beautiful spot to visit on Dartmoor at Grimspound. Worth going back for that alone!

The cottage was comfortable, nicely laid out tastefully furnished.
The cottage was comfortable, nicely laid out tastefully furnished. Pretty views from every window. Great king size bed and plenty of storage space in bedroom and kitchen. Lovely for a quiet getaway being surrounded by narrow country lanes on all sides with hardly any traffic This gave it the feeling of being a real country location but was actually only a ten minute walk and two minute drive from civilisation'. Lots of nice places to walk locally and a good location for driving out and about to see more of South Devon.Only negatives were:- The garden is not a back garden. It is actually a hedged off front garden but the door to the cottage was at the back of the property This meant my dog had to be watched at all times and couldn't be left to roam the garden on his own for fear he wandered off down the lane or across the fields.- Shower cubicle very small.- I would have preferred a 3 seater settee instead of the 2 seater. Better for stretching out on.- Steep steps into cottage were not a problem for me but might pose a challenge for people with less mobility.

Accommodation very well equipt and in a delightful setting. Very good location to visit the local area and beyond. Beware of narrow lanes, to and from the cottage, though no problem if driven carefully!

Lovely holiday accommodation.
Lovely holiday accommodation. Glean, tidy and very well equipped.
As we always take our dog, Badger with us, we always book pet friendly places, some we've found to be a bit grim and nasty, but this place you'd never think any pets had been here, the place was immaculate.
Loved the cream tea and the wine that was left for us, that was a lovely touch, thank you so much!
Lovely area,so much to see and do. Would highly recommend.

The owner was very kind and helpful and it was a comfort to know that she was on hand. She gave me very good instructions so that I could take a short walk to the local store with my dog. I felt very welcome. The TV was particularly easy to use. I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday.

Nice pleasant location with lovely views friendly owners and available when needed. Our only issue was to learn there wasn't an outside dinner/garden table to eat our B.B.Q. in the extensive garden

Lovely clean place to stay.
Lovely clean place to stay. If you have a dog there is a good space for it to run around in the large garden and a field at the back. Very narrow road to approach but not a problem. We had an amazing stay.

Great location to get away from it all!
Stayed four nights and were blessed with great weather. Really quiet location but only a few miles off the dual carriageway.
Easy access to Dartmouth, Kingsbridge and Paignton with Goodrington being dog friendly and also not too far away. Accommodation itself was clean and tidy and provided everything we needed. Field beyond the garden was great for the dog and quiet lanes also good for early morning "walkies"!
Happy to recommend!
