"AVOID AT ALL COSTS.This is the first negative review I have ever left for anything in my life. Host is completely non responsive when you have any issues, I reached out initially as we had no WIFI, the host didnt resolve it.Coffee table had a leg missing. Dining breakfast bar was falling off the wall. "This was the Mercure hotel and I nearly missed it when walking past. Staff on arrival and departure extremely helpful and welcoming. Everything is clean although it does look a little tired and probably needs updating. Having said that, my bed was extremely comfortable, sheets and bedding a delight, Shower and bathroom spotless and I also felt safe in this hotel. Location is right in the centre of the Lace district, lots going on but I was in the back of the hotel and slept like a baby! Would go again. Thanks."

"Everywhere in the hotel was scrupulously clean. The staff couldn’t do enough for you. The lounge area was excellent and the food was great. The Hotel is in an absolute ideal location. If you are attending Nottingham university for a graduation or any other reason we will be back with friends next time."

"So this has recently been acquired by Sheraton and still work to be done... Lifts need to be replaced as old and don't seem safe, noisy and rickety... Rooms ok, lighting is confusing as you don't have full control whilst in bed and TV brackets look like the could fall off wall. No hotel information in room, either paper or TV driven. Only real gripe was we had half a toilet roll in our room and it looked like the Andrew puppy had it and it was rolled back up...why not a full roll? Staff seemed pleasant enough .... Breakfast was Fantastic! Had to park in local NCP £16 for 24 hours...which we all know in the UK is never a pleasant experience walking through."

"We had a lovely 2 night stay at the Beeches. We had an evening meal too wgich was excellent. Lots of variety at breakfast - which is self service. Delicious croissants and fresh fruit and yoghurt, cereal too. They have thought carefully about the hear too with a large fan in the room and ice water on arrival."

"Although the hotel is a little 'tired', the facilities with the pool and jacuzzi etc are a welcome treat, and I have no hesitation to come back again. The staff are very helpful and they accommodated my request for a ground floor room, which I appreciated. My superior room was very dated decor wise, and smaller than the last one I had at this hotel, but the bed was comfy and the corner whirlpool bath was a lovely surprise. Breakfast was OK, a reasonable choice, but they have stopped offering fruit, or bagels, or philadelphia pots .. which used to be my 'go to' choice. Lunch and evening meals offer good sized portions and are very nice (if a little expensive). Overall a great stay, whilst the pool is there I will be back."
