Loved our stay at St James will definitely be back! Situated in a lovely area, room was clean and comfortable all you need. Unfortunately we visited when the restaurant was out of action for refurbishment but plenty of local places to eat which were great.

So this has recently been acquired by Sheraton and still work to be done... Lifts need to be replaced as old and don't seem safe, noisy and rickety... Rooms ok, lighting is confusing as you don't have full control whilst in bed and TV brackets look like the could fall off wall. No hotel information in room, either paper or TV driven. Only real gripe was we had half a toilet roll in our room and it looked like the Andrew puppy had it and it was rolled back up...why not a full roll? Staff seemed pleasant enough .... Breakfast was Fantastic! Had to park in local NCP £16 for 24 hours...which we all know in the UK is never a pleasant experience walking through.

Check in at the hotel was easy. I had prebooked car parking with them. Their car park is limited to average size cars. The NCP is next door for large/SUV types. The room and hotel was spotless during our stay. Breakfast is a huge choice from full English, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts and pastries. All really good. So glad I stayed here, I would definitely recommend.

Have stayed here in the past and it's great value for money. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment so plastering tools etc on my floor, however the reception was wonderful and apologised and there was absolutely no noise outside my room. Room was in need of refurbishment but it's an ongoing project and was clean and great for one night. Room has coffee, tea, biscuits , iron , ironing board and hair drier. Location is in the middle of the city centre and close to all amenities. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Nottingham and look forward to seeing the newly refurbished hotel.
