The drive up was pretty intense as it’s out the way, so we didn’t spend loads of time in the accommodation but wow the views were incredible morning & evening looking out to the river!! Food was nice, staff very friendly. They had dogs on site which were very friendly also. Can be very noisy throughout the night with dogs howling and birds."

"The good: 1. Owner and cook are nice people. 2. Good view from the room. The bad: 1. You are at the mercy of the staff as this is a remote place. 2. They charged a lot for a very basic breakfast, almost 5 times what you would get outside for better food. 3. No air conditioning and dirty rooms. There was a dead frog in our bathroom. Dust bin was very dirty. 4. The view was blocked by trees. 5. No telephone or credit card in this hotel. They want only cash. There are other properties nearby...

"When you arrive the door opens to a magnificent view of the pool and the river behind it. The staff was great, the food was probably our favorite during the first part of our trip. Would highly recommend this place. Make sure to visit the Temple of the Tooth and try out some local fruits!"

"This hotel was beautiful, but the road to get there may not be worth it. It eventually turns into a dirt road and it can be dangerous. It is a very long way up the mountain. The only way to get there is a tuktuk or scooter, but that still could be dangerous. Just know that it is a long way out of Kandy."

"We had booked in for two nights but loved it so much we extended our stay another day! Such a beautiful oasis of peace and quiet. The daily breakfast was exquisite with a huge variety of traditional and western dishes. The fruits were grown organically on the property. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. Service was superb! The owners are very friendly and helpful. We will be back. Thank you! "

"Very nice view. Hotel is in good condition. Room was ok for the price, although the TV was not working properly. AC seemed to have only one low temperature setting and the blanket was way too thin to be comfortable in the night. The food at the restaurant needs to improve a lot. Very greasy food. Given that the hotel is far from the city and there are no nearby food options, hotel restaurant needs to offer better quality food. Oil was dripping from some of the food offered! Overall however, it was a pleasant stay. "

"Welcomed with open arms. View is spectacular Owner is friendly and wants to please Tuk Tuk driver is knowledgeable, a good driver and a gentle soul. Food opportunities in the area are available at the bigger hotels nearby but are not outstanding . I fact very ordinary. Better off to get Arjuth to take you down the hill. He knows the good places and is happy to help. Breakfast is included in the very reasonable room charge. Sadly though, the hygiene of the kitchen and surrounds leaves a lot to be desired. The place is a bit grubby and run down. Even though I'm being a bit harsh I would go back I would reccomend it for the people ,the view ,the seclusion and I suppose the price"
