    Welcome to Big Oso Cabin, your cozy mountain getaway in the gated community of Pine Mountain Lake, just 25 miles from Yosemite National Park. Whether you're planning a summer escape or a winter retreat, this spacious and well-equipped cabin is perfect for families and groups.

    What You’ll Love:

    Beautiful views with breathtaking sunrises and stunning sunsets over the lake

    Fully enclosed private hot tub for relaxing any time of year

    A quiet, peaceful court location with a circular driveway.

    Clean, comfortable rooms with space for up to 10 guests:

    1 King Bedroom

    1 Room with Two Full Beds

    Downstairs: 1 Queen Bed & 1 Full Bed

    Important to Know:

    Entry to Pine Mountain Lake requires a $50 gate fee per vehicle, paid directly to the HOA upon arrival.

    The lake is not walking distance; it’s about a 5–10-minute drive. A vehicle is recommended.

    We’re located in nature; you may encounter small woodland creatures or bugs.

    Our home is professionally cleaned, with all linens, towels, and comforters washed and disinfected after each stay.

    Summer at Big Oso Cabin:
    Enjoy warm weather, fresh mountain air, and a variety of lake activities like swimming, boating, paddleboarding, kayaking, and fishing. Spend evenings on the deck soaking in the sunset views.

    Winter at Big Oso Cabin:
    Experience a peaceful, cozy winter escape — and if you're lucky, a snowfall! Snow parks are just 30–40 minutes away for sledding, tubing, and snow play.

Lovely Spot

This cabin is nestled in a quiet corner of the lake - it's a little dated, but has a lot of sleeping options. The lake is beautiful and the surrounding accommodations make for a fun and relaxing trip. The only downsides: the A/C is not very powerful - it will keep the cabin at a tolerable temperature, but you'll want to open the doors and windows in the evening to cool it down. The upstairs bedroom gets the most heat and takes the longest to cool down. The hot tub is enclosed - which is awesome for privacy and late night hangs - but it was set at 106 degrees and had enough chlorine in it that it burned our eyes. Dropping the temperature helped, but it took a long time for the chlorine to clear. The hosts were very communicative and helpful.
