"The nearest parking was a garage over half a mile away. From there, you have to lug your suitcases up and down a lot of steps to get to your room.     "The Pianelle Resort in heart of Sassi Caveoso was so convenient to so many sites and restaurants nearby. The view as well immediately at the doorstep was breathtaking. The room was spacious and luxurious with exposed stone walls and ceilings which provided an immersive experience if staying in the caves of Matera. The breakfast options too were delicious and highlighted the local produce and cuisine. We had an amazing 2 nights and would definitely return. "
