"We have stayed in a number of different hotels across London over the last 15 years, whether for work, a weekend away as a couple or a full family trip. This is by far the best hotel we have stayed at for what we need. The location is perfect for getting to pretty much every major sight, being so close to Blackfriars and Southwark makes it incredibly easy to get about, but we were actually able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Rooms were amazing quality and size - as a family of 6 we booked a double double (an interconnecting set of rooms, one with two double beds and one with a king bed). We had ample space, the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was great and the staff were incredibly helpful. The only negative was that we waited 25mins on our first evening to get a drink, but the bar staff were busy catering for a wedding so we’ll give them the benefit of doubt. Overall a great stay and we will be returning."

"Good check in. Very nice staff. Very quick to respond to an issue I had with the air conditioner which was very loud and took a long time to switch off. The room was nice, but not very good sound proofing. Lots of sound from the corridor and next room."

"The room was compact to say the least. No tea/coffee making facilities, although there was a small fridge. The shower was good but what was a little disturbing is that you can be seen using the toilet as it is frosted glass... Room in the toilet is at premium too... The bed was comfortable and could ve raised take make viewing the TV easier. The TV resolution was poor and the channel numbers did not match the channel names. No City views from this room and it would appear breakfast is £17.50 not £15.00. Unusually, I was made to pay for the stay when I checked in, as opposed to when I checked out. I stayed on a Friday and Saturday night at a cost of £336.00, which was quite a lot. Having said that the hotel is close to Farrindon Station and Smithfield Market. (There is a realy good cafe on Cowcross Street opposite the market that does a full English for £10) The hotel is very 'techy' requiring a Degree in electronic just to make the lift move.. "

"Lovely hotel, excellent location. We had an issue with the toilet in our room and when it was discovered it could not be fixed right away, they switched us to a different room very quickly and even left us a voucher for drinks with their apologies"

"Nicely styled hotel, with good amenities such steam shower in the room and a communal pool. Some issues with property maintenance, with the room window not closing properly letting in street noise at night. The service in the restaurant on the top floor is a bit of a disaster, being extremely slow and missing most of the menu items."

"The hotel & room were lovely, as were the staff. Only small gripes would be not having a plug socket on my side of the bed, and the aircon turning itself off/resetting itself to 22c."
