"The pictures of Hotel front are misleading! We thought we were booking a hotel right on the lake, instead the hotel was by a main road - 10 mins walk from a swimming spot at the lake. So, we were a bit disappointed. The man at reception explained that its a mistake made by Hotels.com and not their hotel. They do indeed have a hotel on the lake, but only with suites, at 100Euro extra. Apart from this, the hotel was a good experience, with clean pool, brilliant spa and amazing healthy breakfast...

"Friendly and helpful front desk and breakfast staff! Room is much better than I remember from ten years ago, 5 star now. Booked this to be able to have the special ‘Sound of Music’ movie connection. As a note, contrary to what I had read on another website … the temporary S. of M. museum (that is opening in 2026 at ‘Hellbrunn ‘) artifacts are NOT located at the ‘Hotel Schloss Leopoldskron’."

"Staff were pleasant and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The air conditioning was appreciated during the hot weather. The hotel was in a convenient location to a variety of restaurants and attractions. Although the nearest metro station was closed for repairs, the next station was easy to walk to."

"Great location and awesome staff! Half mile from the main HBF (walkable) and close to the AltStadt. Still tucked away from the hustle and bustle though. The staff was great and very attentive when I needed assistance. Highly recommend the restaurant and bar. The staff there go above and beyond to make your visit enjoyable. Lastly, I had a nice villa room that was well appointed and spacious. I will come back here again for sure!"
