Absolutely a MUST! We were traveling from Munich to Austria with an open night in between when I found this amazing gem! Could not be happier with our stay! The restaurant was AMAZING. The staff was AMAZING. The sauna and steam room were AMAZING. The owners were AMAZING. As a couple whom only know a tiny if any German we were a little nervous we may feel out of place with language barriers in a smaller town yet never once did we feel that way! Such an incredible place ❤️

We would definitely come back to Ruhpoldinger Hof, all staff was very friendly, our first night in Daniel greeted us with so much hospitality. The breakfast was wonderful and we enjoyed our 4 days there. Shopping and restaurants just in walking distance. What a beautiful hotel, we will be back :)

We stayed just one night. Would have liked longer. Lovely room. A shame we were there on a night the restaurant was closed, but we ate alongside the hotel at another restaurant which was very good. Must come back to the hotel and to Ruhpolding.

Fabulous hotel, staff were all excellent. Most of the hotel rooms seem to be up dated, in our room maybe 2 pieces of furniture needed replacing. The mattress for the first night could feel the springs coming through. However mattresses were changed the following day and were then perfect. Hotel restaurant and food was good and a nice selection at breakfast.

Fell in love with this place

A beautiful traditional Bavarian building in the heart of the village. We had a family suite, which was very big - very large main bedroom/sitting area, large shower room and smaller room with two single beds for children. Hallway for bags etc and good storage. Balcony overlooking the mountains. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Allowed me to try my German but able to speak very good English when I stumbled! Good breakfast each morning included in the price. We were able to park outside reception each time we returned to the hotel. The pool is far nicer in real life than the photos suggest - underfloor heating, sauna and reasonably sized pool - more for laps than serious fitness. Well-equipped gym in a separate building. The restaurant wells excellent for two evening meals - better than the online reviews might suggest. The village is beautiful and has we trying you would need. The area is stunning. Rolling mountains, beautiful lakes, verdant landscape (we visited during the summer). Local Chiemgau card gives free or discounted activities - good to take the gondola up Hochfelln and see the paragliders taking off and sweeping views of Chiemsee. Local gondola and chairlift were closed during our stay. Chiemsee boat tours about 30 min drive away. Konigsee/Berchtesgaden about 50 mins. Lots to see and do locally and a good range of restaurants

Ein außergewöhnlich, schönes, familiäres Hotel. Wohlfühlen wird hier groß geschrieben. Der Service beim Frühstück aufmerksam, freundlich, stets gut gelaunt und extrem hilfsbereit. Der Wellnessbereich eine Oase zum Erholen. Das Hotel ist insgesamt sehr stilvoll und ansprechend eingerichtet. Das Hotel Ruhpoldinger Hof ist offensichtlich ein Neubau, der im traditionellen Stil erbaut worden ist. Alles ist sauber, sehr gepflegt und stilvoll eingerichtet; dies trifft insbesondere auch auf den Wellnessbereich zu. Das Personal ist zuvorkommend und um die Gäste bemüht. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Schade war, dass wir die Gästekarte erst am dritten Tag bekommen haben. Das Zimmer war einladend renoviert und ausreichend groß. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Schade war, dass die Sauna derzeit renoviert wird, was bei der Buchung nicht ersichtlich war. Das Hallenbad ist leider nur bis 20.00 Uhr geöffnet und als wir es nutzen wollten, war es wegen Reinigungsarbeiten bereits vor 20.00 Uhr geschlossen. Das Essen im Restaurant war lecker. Das Frühstück war ausreichend, aber nicht sehr einfalls- und abwechslungsreich. Leider entsprach die Qualität der Brötchen ( vom Bäcker ? ) nicht ganz unseren Erwartungen, die wir an ein Hotel dieser Preisklasse haben (230 € / 2 Personen pro Nacht) . Insgesamt hatten wir einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt.

Vriendelijke ontvangst, erg gezellig alleen erg warm in kamer en restaurant. Kamer was heel netjes. Hoofdkussen was klein en niet zo vol. Door warmte minder goed geslapen maar verder echt prima.
