"Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. "

"Very nice and clean hotel! Reception was closed but I got very detailed instructions before arrival on how to retreive my key and find the room. I was also gifted sweets and wine. I loved that the fridge was bigger than usual hotel fridges/minibar. I also got the breakfast, which was served at a nearby café, and I got my breakfast served at the table. Very cozy place and everything was tasty! Highly recommend this hotel!"

"Evva was really friendly and helpful, and our accommodation was spacious and comfortable.
We didn't like the fact that the shower was handheld only.
Also, the villa is located at the stop of a very steep hill, so although the town enter is not far away, it's not the easiest walk."
"We had a really lovely time at this house — it’s spacious, surrounded by lots of greenery, and the overall atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. The pool was absolutely beautiful and made our stay even more enjoyable. The shaded garden and good isolation from neighbors created a real sense of privacy, which we truly appreciated.
The interior offered plenty of space for a group, and most of us felt very comfortable. However, there were a few issues that future guests should be aware of. First, some of the doors didn’t close properly, which was inconvenient and should definitely be fixed. Second, there was not enough space for the ninth person — this should be clearly mentioned in the listing, or at least shown in the photos to manage expectations.
Also, the washing machine didn’t work during our stay, which was disappointing, especially for a longer trip. And one small but annoying detail: the kitchen really lacked proper knives – for a house of this standard, better kitchen equipment would make a big difference.
All in all, it’s a beautiful place with lots of potential — just a few improvements and more transparency in the listing would make it perfect."
