"great stay"

"Location was great. Buffet breakfast was good. Frustrating check-in. The self service machine didn't work although we were encouraged to use them. The worst things was, we were waken up at 5:55 am by the room phone. The staff member asked if we've requested linen, which we did not. Everyone was waken up. Otherwise we would have had a good sleep. When told we did not request the linen, the staff member simply hang up and did not even apologise. It is unbelievable that this place has staff who did not even think carefully before waking people up at 5:55am."

"Great location, excellent staff and service. Breakfast was expensive by good, room service was excellent. Rooms are great with modern bathrooms--they actually have room by sink for you toilteries--so tired of modent minimalist designs that don't work. The main corridors are due for carpet, and the TV selection was.....minimal"

"Parking is free which is great. We’ve stayed here quite a few times when visiting family for the night, this stay was our worst yet. We stayed in room 712 which is near the reception & there was an annoying noise all night that made it hard to sleep. Like a base sound, could have been a dryer maybe, but it wasn’t. Maybe outside air con units? Not sure. I investigated but couldn’t figure it out. The pillows were also awful mesh things. Breakfast was good though. Will probably still stay again, but definitely won’t stay in 712 again if I can help it!"

"Parking was easy and secure. Location was good. The facilities were minimal and furnishings aged. The lighting was not good with kitchen, dining and lounge lights all on one switch. All on, or none. "

"Excellent hotel, fantastic room, great staff, home away from home. One big issue: lift getting to my third floor room was a pain. Seemed only 1 lift was working on my room side and you could be waiting ages for it. Was advised there wasn’t any stair options so you’re stuck with this. There’s lifts on the other side which I also got to use because on one of my days, lift stopped working altogether. That being said, I had an amazing time in Canberra and the hotel was part of the reason for my great trip so I would 100% recommend and I’ll be back "
