Holiday Inn Express Klamath - Redwood Ntl Pk Area by IHG
8/10 Good
"Really limited options for dining in the small town of Klamath so the hotel's free breakfast was appreciated. Avoid the diner at the casino area though. My husband liked his burger but my chicken sandwich wasn't edible."
"It was a nice 2 bedroom house. It was clean but had an order of urine when we first got there. Check-in and check-out was quick and easy. Kitchen was stocked with plates, utensils, and cooking items."
"Wonderful boutique hotel, a stone throw away from the ocean, with just a handful of well appointed rooms (former classrooms). The property shares a larger lot with a nicer campground part of the same organization. Quiet and peaceful overall. Note however that despite the beautiful decor and finish inside the main building, sound insulation is minimal in the bedrooms. Clean and modern bathrooms. Nice common space downstairs with couches, turntable and vinyls. However, no breakfast available. No vending machines either in the main building or around the campground. A limited selection of food, snacks and beverages is available either during opening hours (daytime) at the registration office (attached to the main building) or driving to Trinidad on the main highway (approximately 5 miles South where a limited number of very good restaurants (and Murphy's, a well appointed local grocery store) are located. Access to the ocean (beach and trails along the cliffs' edges) is through a very nice State Park (Sue Meg) a short drive North of the property ($8/day access). Beautiful vistas. However, no direct access to the ocean or any beaches directly in front of the property (private properties and cliffs). Within 10 to 25 miles to great State and National Parks immediately to the North on Hwy 101."
"The setting, tucked into the redwoods, was peaceful and beautiful. The cabin was spotless and had plenty of room. Conveniently located near Main Street, my stay was relaxing and nice."
Where the Klamath River Meets the Pacific Ocean in the Heart of the Redwoods

"Exactly what we needed in the depths of N CA. Great jumping off point for all our hiking ventures. Our dogs loved it. The only problem was the shower dripped and the the sink hot water wasn’t working but easy fix! Super cute inside and out."
Riverview Clean and Cozy Home by the River - upstairs above office
6/10 Okay
"This was a great place to stay, but the vrbo listing is inaccurate. There is no AC, only heat. There is also no hot tub. We never saw or used the fire pit as it is on the other end of the RV park and not near vrbo itself. The vrbo does not have a washer and dryer in the room - there is a laundry room at the RV park. It costs extra to use the washer and dryer, and they accept quarters only. The listing says there are two bedrooms but there is only one bedroom with two beds, and one open kitchen/dining/living room with a pull out couch. The oven is missing the door handle so it was a little dangerous opening and using the oven. All that being said, my husband and I chose this place mainly for the location near the redwoods, and the full kitchen (and unfortunately the included washer/dryer). If the listing had been completely accurate, we still would have booked it, and I would be happy to stay here again if I ever revisit the redwoods. I did not interact with the host very much, but Vivek was always kind and helpful when I did. The shower is hot, the room is cozy, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Despite the inaccurate description, this was still a very nice place to stay during our three days in some of the most beautiful woods in the world."
