The Equoni house was a great location to access hikes. The house was spotlessly clean, the kitchen well equipped, and the beds were comfortable. The host did a great job of communicating (like- you will need to get groceries on your way there because there are not restaurants or stores nearby). We did the nearby James Irvine hike and Fern Canyon. Spectacular!
We only stayed one night as we were passing through on a long road trip. But we wished we could stay longer. This place was cozy, had a great atmosphere and everything we could want. The owners thought of everything to keep their guests comfortable. I can’t imagine a better choice in the area exists.
The host was so great. I highly recoomend this property. We had a family of 5, and it met all of our needs. The host had great information to navigate the area. We saw everything we wanted. It was a wonderful dray.
Everything was perfect with our stay. We were easily able to cook. They have all the basics including spices and oil. They even had laundry detergent. Also we loved how the couch was made up for sleeping in a clean was. Could not say enough good things about this place. One of the best BNB I’ve stayed at.
Fantastic quick response when we had a BBQ issue upon our arrival. Our first night’s dinner was saved thanks to the actions of the on-site staff. We hiked many trails that were never more than 10 minutes from our door. Loved the trails and loved our home.
Great place to stay near Redwoods national and state parks
My family enjoyed our cabin-like stay Equoni cottage. Quiet. Clean. Homey. My daughter loved the outdoor wood sauna. Sorry we missed seeing any elk at the property. Thanks Charlene for helping our family make some good memories at your place.
We were skeptical when we pulled in because the property faces Hwy 101, but trusted the reviews and were not disappointed. We loved this house!! Not only is the house filled with all the supplies we needed to feel at home, the beds were so comfortable, the towels thick, the shower/tub felt like a spa and the property was magical. Our kids loved playing in the creek and the elk were a source of awe and excitement. The owners were attentive and caring. It's such an easy location to get to hikes and the ocean. It was perfect for our family who still has a kiddo who naps. We would come back and recommend it to anyone wanting to spend time in the Redwoods who wants a peaceful getaway. We loved it!
If this property is available, booked it immediately. Newly remodeled. Comfy beds. Fluffy towels.. and plenty of them. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking tools and spices. Check in was easy. Communication with host was prompt and clear. I would stay here again.
Ch
I give this property 5 stars in all aspects. Beginning with great communication from the owners and ease of check in, all the way through to cleanliness and comfort. The location is fabulous, it really is the Heart of the Redwoods. The home is stocked with just about everything you might think you’ll need and many things you didn't realize you might need! (Probably the best we’ve ever stayed in.)
Our family enjoyed several days of adventuring through the parks. It was so nice to be able to have a central location that we could quickly get back to, eat, clean up, relax, and head back out again. We absolutely recommend it!
Beautiful property, stayed for one night and enjoyed the firepit while the sun set! Everything was very clean plus all the cooking supplies and spices were there for you. Being on a corner lot made the property feel extra private.
This cottage had everything we needed as a family of four! My son (12) loves to fish and we bought a 30 pole from Walmart... he spent every night fishing the creek behind the cabin. He caught trout back there which was exciting because we are from the midwest. We were also visiting to hike in the redwoods and Fern Canyon. Both were incredible and a short drive. We would absolutely stay here again... in fact this was our favorite place to stay of the entire trip.
Fantastic cabin!! Would stay again in a heartbeat! We saw elk right outside our cabin every day which was so fun for the whole family. The creek outback had a great spot for cold plunging and we loved it!Close enough to many great spots. We loved the local California Native Wood shop in Orick which was a recommendion from the house guestbook, and Founders Grove was our absolute favorite Redwoods stop hands down. The Sequoia Park Zoo Redwood Skywalk was also among the kids favorite activities.Cozy cabin, very well appointed , comfortable beds, quiet at night and well kept clean property.Thank you for having us!
