"Where to start. This hotel is ruined by its appalling service. 1) Housekeeping waking you up at 9am on a Saturday morning. 2) multiple appalling fails in the heavily priced Sunset Grill restaurant. Even forgetting one diner’s complete order as well as slow and sloppy service. 3) queuing for 30 minutes for breakfast…..remember this is a 5star place …….not a cafeteria 4) room key being disabled because we were “late” back to room due to (3) above. 5) told by staff I had to go to lobby to fix the key issue 6) high degree of staff with no language skills. This place is cruising as a 3star hotel as HKers have no choice due to quarantine. It’s charging 5 star prices however. It’s a joke. Please avoid. "

"Stayed over a week at Royal Plaza Hotel Mong Kok in a 2 double bed single room.Nice view. 5 star hotel worth 5 star rating. Housekeeping each day.Housekeeping manager checks by knocking to ask if things been cleaned to our satisfaction.Location.Moko shopping mall downstairs and Mong Kok East station with bus station too.Family enjoyed their stay.If Expedia have special price for this hotel then we stay again because was priced same as Crowne Plaza in Tseung Kwun O which is not so central plus was 4 star but we stayed there before."

"Explorer Lodge definitely provided us a vacation feel even it should be a staycation only. Upgrading from a standard room to deluxe is absolutely worthwhile with such a spectacular view. Photos included in this review."
