"We had a fantastic stay. The home is beautiful and set in a stunning location right in the heart of the D-Day beaches—perfectly situated near Gold Beach, with easy drives to Omaha and Juno.The house itself was very clean and worked well for our family of six. The appliances were modern and reliable, making everything from meals to laundry easy.The village is charming and convenient, with a full grocery store nearby. The sea is just a five-minute walk, and being close to the artificial port was a unique highlight—you can walk out to it during low tide, which was a memorable experience for our family.Overall, a great base for exploring Normandy. We would absolutely stay here again."

"Lovely cottage, full of character and very well-equipped. Superb location, a short walk to Asnelles beach, and a short drive to Arromanches. Bayeaux is also in easy reach by car.Both the owner and managing agent are extremely responsive and helpful.We visited in October so were not able to make use of the secluded garden area, but I think it would be very nice in the sunnier months. We did make good use of the wood-burner which added to the cosy atmosphere in the evenings.All-in-all an outstanding property."

"A lovely clean apartment for two people with a great host. In a good location for the Normandy Beaches, Caen and Bayeux. The beach was just a short walk away which made for pleasant evening strolls. Sufficient local restaurants to provide good variety during the week. "

"Booked the house through VRBO, all went well. We got the conformation of the booking. Sitting in the hotel the night before arriving in France and thinking, I haven't seen anything about the entry to the house. Sent a message which was finally answered after an hour saying it was in the welcome email and she supplied the link for the check in. Checked right back through all emails and there was nothing from her. Went on to the link and filled in the info it requested which was a lot. Clicked the validate button and it stayed at waiting on validation for well over an hour. Messaged her again and got told she had validated it, she had. Still had no idea on the entry details which you are supposed to re-click the link again after messaging her again. Turned up at the house and had to fight fast an out of control apple tree to get the key safe. Entered the house and had a look around, the link had a section to upload any pictures of anything wrong, there were a lot. Dining room table gouged, coffee tables scratched, bits of kitchen hang off, damp smell which got worse over the next day which turned out to be a mop which obviously wasn't cleaned properly and that had to be put outside, there is small leak under the kitchen sink which is contributing to the smell, there is a heater in the dining room which has a damaged cable exposed, bathroom sink not very clean and taps rotting away at the base, upstairs in the main room, there was a wall socket hanging out the wall on the cables"

"Very new build, close neighbourhood to shore road in Asnelles. Grocery and gas right in front, right in the middle of all things Normandy."

"Nice apartment, clean and bright. Close to the village's main place where you can find a bakery and little cafe. Close to D Day beaches, small grocery store close by.We have stayed there for four nights and it was very comfortable. Nice small balcony to enjoy the view and a glass of wine. Would suggest to supply a few more towels. Thank you for welcoming us. "

"Property is old but quaint. Some lights do not work. Part of the listing mentioned a hot tub or spa. There is not one. "
