Disaster from non-start. Rebooked stay not sent to hotel. No rooms available. Sent to sister hotel in Haslemere. Superior room allegedly, but no comparison to what I should have stayed in. Ripped wallpaper, soiled toilet, not enough staff in bar/ restaurant. Tonsillitis didn't help, but Upham Inns have some work to do to get back to where they were 12 months ago. Sad. I might add, I have stayed in both properties previously, The Swan has always been exceptional, Harper's Haslemere never really floated my boat in comparison. The mix up of the booking, with not much sympathy from the staff, just a " we have a room in Haslemere" after a 3 hour drive was not the best news. After contacting Hotels.com, they arranged the swap, although they did offer to find an alternative and I wish I had agreed. Also they gave me a generous discount count for my next booking. Really quite sad, I love the Swan, but think my time staying there has come to an end.

Pretty much average in every respect. Room not as clean is it should have been. Various stains on carpets, walls, upholstery, etc. Bed comfy though. Even meal expensive while ribeye steak small for what was supposed to be 8oz and poor quality. Breakfast plentiful and above average. An overrated establishment.

This is an old pub where the rooms have been modernized to a high standard. Service was attentive and personable. Breakfast was very nice and the Manager Fiona outstanding making one feel very welcome and cared for.

Village Pub Hotel
Amazing, lovely big room, with phone charger and wi do next to huge bed. Super soft pillows. Clean and quiet top floor room. Good in bar okay. Village is lovely. I’d go back in a heartbeat. Thanks

It was the perfect base for a Spring wedding in Godalming & close to Ramster Hall where the reception was held. A fantastic weekend.

This is a beautiful venue , with a fabulous interior and excellent members of staff. The rooms are exceptialnally well furnished and auper clean. The only issue is NOT with any aspect of the pub/hotel but with the lack of availability of reasonably priced local transport. Next time I will be using the bus , ans not realying on overpriced and unreliable taxis. However i am definitely going back.

Great place to stay, in a delightful village
Fantastic room with top rate facilities. The pub is full of character and both food and beer are top quality. All staff l encountered were friendly and helpful. The butchers a few doors away sells fabulous ready to eat sausage rolls and steak pies!

A lovely inn
A lovely Inn in a good location. I had a nice room with seperate living /bedroom areas. The place is clean in the rooms and the bar areas and the food was fantastic. I have stayed here a few times in the past two years and it is always great. They had some new staff this visit but they are great too, a freindly welcome and a really plesant stay and i look forward to returning again in the future.

Loved our stay at The Swan Inn. We were travelling for a wedding nearby and stayed for two nights. Our room was lovely and comfy and the breakfast was really tasty. Staff were fantastic. Good parking and in room facilities. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area. Highly recommend

The rooms were not very clean. Shower was dirty with mould on the rubber seal of the shower cubicle. Water did not flow away properly. Sinks were not particularly clean. Toilet seat was wonky and needed replacing. Dust all over surfaces of the room
