"The hotel check in was easy. The room was clean and grounds were immaculately groomed. My kids especially loved the water slide! There was a sloth hanging out in a tree behind our room during our stay. We also saw lots of monkeys while soaking in the Jamaica pool. The restaurant was not our favorite of the trip, but the second night we visited Cocina de Mayrita for dinner based on another review. It was a highlight of the trip!! "We were greeted by the property owner carrying an umbrella to our car because of a torrential downpour. He walked us to the room, showed us how to work all the amenities, and then took us to the community kitchen to show us around there. The owner/manager is very friendly and helpful and made us feel completely at ease. His efforts felt super helpful after a long night and nearly full day of travel. 10/10 would easily stay again. "

"The hotel staff was great, the room was clean, the TV didn't work, they only have cold water for the showers, it was a little pricey for what you get. I had been to the hot springs before the hurricane hit and there were a lot more pools. The two that they did have were hot and enjoyable although were in need of being repainted and cleaned.
