Great hidden hotel, wish we stayed longer. Could use a bigger bathroom sink, tub drain takes a long time to drain out. Breakfast was delicious! Staff was very welcoming! Plenty of parking.

This is a great reasonable hotel. The a/c works great and breakfast is fantastic. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Hot water was minimal for showers.

We had a great stay at the Las Espuelas Hotel. The people were super helpful and friendly. Pool was nice and clean. Service was great, the facilities were clean but moderate. Breakfast was super and at night we could relax at the restaurant and bar. The only draw back was that there is nothing around the hotel and for every trip we needed a car.

Nice place close to the airport. Pool was nice but a bit cold and they didn’t have a crib for my baby (as advertised on the website) but other than that we really enjoyed our stay. Food was delicious but definitely pricey.

The property is well maintained, clean and has a friendly staff. It just looks like time has not been very friendly to the area and the construction of an elevated highway has made it noisy, all hours of the day. The location is close to the airport and the price is great. For a quick stay, this place is great.

I just wanted to say that other than the hotel being a little rundown (at least in the rooms). It was super convenient, close to amenities and the airport. It was perfect for an overnight stay before heading out of town. Also the staff were super helpful and graciously patient with our limited Spanish. But that seemed to be the norm everywhere in Costa Rica.

Overall a good night's stay. Front desk was cordial and helpful when asked. The only suggestion is that at check-in it is very helpful for the guest to be given a quick rundown, where is the pool, where is the restaurant, what time is the (excellent) breakfast served, etc.. We almost missed breakfast for not seeing a dining room.

I recently stayed at Las Espuelas Hotel for 4 nights with my two daughters, and overall, we had a wonderful experience! From the moment we checked in, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The gentleman at the front desk (I didn’t catch his name) was incredibly kind and helpful, answering all of our questions throughout our stay. The property itself is beautiful, and the rooms were spotless, though we did notice a little bit of mold and had issues with cold showers. It’s worth noting that the location isn’t super walkable to attractions, but that wasn’t a major issue for us. One of the highlights of our stay was the on-site restaurant/bar. The food was fantastic, and our waiter, Carlos, was outstanding! He was so kind and patient, especially with my very picky daughter, making every dinner an enjoyable experience. Thank you to the amazing staff for making our stay so memorable! We’d love to return in the future.
