Top Glenn Schlimpert Recreation Area Hotel Reviews
Fantastic 1-bedroom Cabin in peaceful Makanda, Pet-Friendly!
10/10 Excellent
"This cabin is such a calming retreat, yet close to opportunities to eat out, hike, and shop. I will try to book this cabin every time we visit our daughter in college."
Hampton Inn Carbondale

"Didn't like the fact that door handle very hard to open door after using room card"
Super 8 by Wyndham Carbondale
8/10 Good
"The room and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. The water came out of the bathroom faucet very slowly with very little pressure. I informed the staff and they said they would look at it."
Quality Inn Carbondale University area
8/10 Good
"Room was dated but clean. Bed was comfortable. We were grateful for the help we received after a botched reservation at another hotel."
Home2 Suites by Hilton Carbondale
10/10 Excellent
"Location is steps away from main drag and SIU campus."
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Carbondale - University Area by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Great location and wonderful hot breakfast! Room was very nice."
Walker's Bluff Casino Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Walkers Bluff Resort was Amazing. We enjoyed the Pool, the Spa, the Restaurant & the Casino. Our room was nice & most of the staff was super friendly."
Comfort Inn & Suites Carbondale University Area
8/10 Good
"Solid hotel. The desk guy was clearly sick and coughing all over the desk. The room was good."
Best Western Saluki Inn
8/10 Good
"Our daughter goes to SIU Carbondale so we travel there often. When we do we stay at this hotel. The price is reasonable, and the hotel's quality is better than some other options in town. That said, the overall property (e.g., hallways, stairwells) needs a good cleaning. The bedding is clean and their complimentary breakfast is about typical for these hotels."
