"Although part of the hotel was being refurbished it didn't affect our stay. The room was ideal for our short stay, the breakfasts were very good with no delays on being served and the staff were very helpful at all times. Definitely use the Nevis Bank again when we travel to the West of Scotland."

"Hotel under much needed construction. Hasn't seen paint or a face-lift since probably the 90s or before. Even the sign on the hotel was missing letters. I said i wanted to cancel second night and they never called me back to discuss. Awful property. Strong avoid. I had to give it 1 star as 0 wasn't an option."

"Beautiful location, quaint little spot. I would give it 4 1/2 stars but I didn’t get a wink sleep because the mattresses were less comfortable than sleeping on the ground in a tent. It wasn’t even what I would call a mattress. The double bed was actually two twin box springs pushed together. Unbelievable that such a beautiful and quaint hotel wouldn’t spend a little bit of money making sure their guests got a comfortable night sleep"

"The hotel has a great vibe and the staff are lovely. The views are incredible. The restaurant wad busy but the staff were great. Portions were generous and the food was good. Our only real complaint was our room #31. I understand old hotels don’t have lifts, so it’s a long way up to the top floor with luggage. Our room had water damage around the windows. One of the windows was taped shut. New drywall wasn’t even patched. Stains on the wallpaper around the walls by the windows. A painting for the wall was in closet and wall plugs left dangling on the wall where it hung. When the wind picked up the window and possible exterior sheathing kept rattling. As we left we saw other rooms open that were being cleaned. They were in much better shape. That room should have been repaired before being used."

"Phenomenal place, everyone's Scottish dream, cozy, elegant, with spectacular views and such a memorable sunset. The room was comfortable and quiet with everything we needed and the breakfast was scrumptious. I can't wait to come back!"
