Basic unit. Fine not good. Internet did not work the entire time I stayed and no communication from staff to help despite letting them know. I stayed on the side of the building facing the city and despite being several floors up was kept up all night from the sound of the garage door opening and closing. Maybe other units are better (of course I imagine each has its own owner and some may be better decorated or cared for than others…) The unit I stayed in was not very well cared for: carpets needed a steam clean, burn marks all over carpet, mould stains in shower grout, marks all over the walls in the living room, no coat hangers or clothes pegs provided, ironing board cover so thin I had to use a towel on it to not ruin my clothes. There were also noisy neighbours on either side of my unit - one unit played very loud music so much it was rattling their door! (although thankfully my unit door blocked most of the noise once inside). Office communication was limited at best (especially after I’d paid the security bond, not a credit card hold but a full payment that I have to wait to be refunded). Location: It is about a 5 min walk to the cultural centre so good for transport, close to Woolworths metro, coffee shops and restaurants, and the arts precinct. So location is pretty good. Car parking was available but I didn’t use. The place is acceptable but not great. If I had a choice I’d probably stay somewhere else next time -unless I could get a nicer unit and/or higher floor.

7.8/10 Good! (1,000 reviews)
Very centrally located between all the things we visited over the weekend for; fortitude valley, howard smith wharves, CBD and Suncorp Stadium.
All walkable within about 2km/30m tops but scooters everywhere for convenience.
Access and rooms felt safe. Facilities are very limited and basically you just have a room here, which suited us perfectly. Rooms were small but functional and everything inside worked properly and was extremely clean.
Hotel staff at reception very helpful and efficient: although a small hotel, the gentleman gave the impression of having been former career concierge or hotel manager at much larger hotel. Parking was easy as we arrived a little before check in but is limited. Weekend parking in back streets free though which is good.
Cleanind staff always friendly when passing by.
My first observation on arrival from the driveway was the cleaning staff wiping the room balcony balustrades outside, which i thought was impressively thorough and good attention to detail.

"The hotel is reminiscent of country hotels of the 60s with a bit of refurbishment. The staff were fantastic, always smiling and helpful."

Absolutely Beautiful
"Just gorgeous. Such a lovely cozy cabin with everything you could need. Beautiful outlook and close to fabulous National Park walks. We were able to totally relax - very much helped by a late afternoon bubble bath. Would love to go back during the winter to be able to light the fire."
