I enjoyed my stay at the Camelot Retreat very much. The staff was friendly, the place was clean, and it was very serene and peaceful. An easy walk to the sights on pretty walking paths and a lovely bedroom. I slept great. Definitely would stay again
Very accomodating and friendly host and enjoyable discussions over breakfast. Very convenient for visiting the Tor. Very reommended if you want to know more about the spiritual side of Glastonbury and find like minded travellers.
Very welcoming even though I arrived earlier than planned to leave my bag before setting off to see the sights. Comfortable single room with unrivalled view of The Tor. Highly recommended!
If you like crystals and Glastonbury, you’ll love it here. Great vibes and views of the Tor.
If you don’t, you won’t and could probably find something more suitable out to Wells or Cheddar or adjacent.
A lovely room in a very calm and peaceful house. The bed was very comfortable. The host was very welcoming and couldnt do enough to help, including finding me a fan at 9pm because i was too hot. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of going to Glastonbury
This was a lovely place to stay for the one night that I needed it. The room was nice and warm which I appreciated as the weather was wet, cool & windy while I was there. Bed was also very comfortable and I felt content to be in my room for the evening. It was a nice bonus to have access to the meditation room and a small library of wonderful books. Good selection of breakfast items too. Easily walkable to everything I wanted to see in Glastonbury.
There was no mention in the description that this was a vegetarian only establishment. NO meat, fish or alcohol was allowed (even in the room) and there were restrictive quiet hours. “Breakfast included” actually meant cold cereal, toast (one morning there wasn’t any bread provided) and eggs- all self service and self cleanup. Rooms were clean and comfortable but it certainly didn’t feel like a holiday.
This Buddist retreat was ok for a place to sleep. Evelen was there and greated upon arrival. House rules are stringent with no meat for cooking. Didn't see anyone but Evelen while there. No place out of the weather to store the bike, which was stored out in the back garden. Breakfast simple and serve yourself. I'm not a buddist but took note of Evelen saying I had to much baggage by leaving a large towel behind. Ha ha. I'd rate this place OK for a quite stay.
B&B is in a residential area outside the center but close to the Tor. Whilst bedding and towels were freshly laundered, the overall state of the property was outdated, dusty, with cobwebs in the rooms and dirt in corners plus the garden was in a right state. Nothing like the pictures and didn't feel peaceful or a place of rest. Breakfast options very limited, go to Heaphy's or Timos in town instead. Overall the owner seemed very disinterested and apathic. A lot of notes scattered around the property informed you of the strict rules (mainly around food and drink, how to behave and what is expected of you, for example being very, very, very quiet). Can only reiterate what somebody said before, didn't feel like a holiday, felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. Couldn't wait to leave the next day.
Very peaceful and comfortable space. Excellent hosts.

Unfortunately it was very thin walls, you can hear other guests talking and walking but everyone tried to take concern. Would have loved a better lamp for reading in the room. You have to share bathroom with several other guests, but I guess that is one reason why the price is lower than in most places. Nice with the garden and that it is a bit away from traffic, still only about 15 min walk to Chalice Well and to the town centre.

Great views
I arrived late and was welcomed. I liked the flexibility of having breakfast at your own time. My only concern is that the walls are thin and you can hear every sound from downstairs and in adjoining rooms and bathroom.
Owners are well meaning and nice people. but have no idea how to run the place. Miserable damp towels, had to make our own breakfast with minimal stuff found in fridge, then wash up. Bed occupied almost whole room. Bathroom shared with many. Cramped, uncomfortable. No privacy.
Owners are new age Mystics and very pleasant but need to visit other B&B places to learn how to make people comfortable. Most guests in Glastonbury for spiritual awakening, perhaps no interested in material things.
