Top Glasgow Hotel Reviews

Clayton Hotel Glasgow

Clayton Hotel Glasgow

10/10 Excellent
"My one and only problem, was this. We checked and given room keys (card key) with instructions on how to get to our elevator. This hotel had a North and South tower. You need your card key to enter certain areas ( security) You also need your card key for your floor on the elevator. Once we got into the room, nothing worked?? My wife called the front desk but the line was busy. Then she suggested maybe the card key operates the room. Lo and behold there was a slot at the door for the card key. I think this should have been relaid to us, that’s all. Around the hotel there are numerous pub/restaurants. We went to a Dim Sum up the street and it was amazing. Also the hotel has underground parking but you have to pay. I found a Meter Maid?? He gave me directions to Fox St to park over night for free. All as good."

"It was a clean and convenient hotel to stay while attending a conference at SEC. You are pretty close to Kelvingrove and Univ of Glasgow area, a bit of walk but pleasant. Staff was nice and friendly, there is AC and the shower drainage was good."

8/10 Good
"Booked for a mid-July stay for 1 night to catch a train the next morning at central station. The hotel is across the street from the station, which was a huge plus. The area was a tad sketchy but the hotel was well maintained. I found staff to be slightly disengaged but the person who checked us in was friendly though not very helpful. We booked a room with a king and sofa bed and wow! We got this beautiful corner room with floor to ceiling windows! It was lovely! The rooms are definitely modern and trendy but it is a little weird to take a shower without a private space to change, when you’re traveling with someone you don’t want to change in front of. Nonetheless, we were incredibly pleased with the large, airy space and the king bed was comfortable and the sofa bed was adequate."
