"We were in room 102 which is right by the steps and it was extremely noisy. The people above us walked like elephants shaking our lights right up until almost midnight every night. Then they were at it again at 6 am. Other than the noise, we always enjoy staying at this hotel when we visit Gettysburg as it is a convenient walk to town. The room was clean, but the bed was hard as a rock and we woke up with sore hips every day."

"Great location in downtown Gettysburg to walk to many shops and restaurants. The bar and the bartenders were great. Breakfast in One Lincoln was very good and staff were friendly and attentive. One negative thing was that we stayed for two nights and our room was not made up on the second day. They had staff available for this they just didn't do it."

"the bathroom was horrible. Toilet was so low to the ground that I feel off of it twice and hurt my leg. The water pressure in the shower was so low it was like showering with a garden hose. The heating was terrible. the heat would come on and the temperature would be great and then all of a sudden the air would come on and we would be freezing. Kept me awake most of the night. "

"Location, location, location! Older hotel that is currently under construction for improvements. Also the boiler has gone out and there was a machine that ran all night. The hotel rooms are on the outside of the building but this was not an issue for us. Just the noise of the machine was irritating. Upon arrival the staff was welcoming and helpful. Room was clean. Breakfast buffet is served. I would stay here again when all construction is completed. Many restaurants and shopping are within walking distance. "

"Everything about this majestic hotel was exceptional—truly a highlight of our journey home to Canada from Florida. Although we arrived several hours early, we were graciously welcomed the moment we stepped in (still dressed in summer clothes from a much warmer climate than the 5° temperature!). The friendly staff and owner, Mr. Monahan, made us feel immediately at home. Maggie at the front desk kindly explained the history of the building while escorting us through the impressive hall, beautifully decorated with period furnishings, to our large and charming room. The room was tastefully updated with modern touches—especially an excellent shower—while still preserving the historic character of the property. It truly felt like the perfect place to stay and immerse ourselves in the nostalgia of Gettysburg. We also enjoyed a wonderful supper at the pub restaurant conveniently located on the premises. A unique place to stay and certainly not to be missed. We will definitely look forward to visiting again!"
