This is such a relaxing and cozy environment. The host is fantastic and keeps the cottage immaculate. We truly loved our stay. It's about a 1/2-hour drive to downtown Asheville and Biltmore: a gorgeous drive and lots of good coffee shops. We really wanted to see a bear but had no luck.Would absolutely recommend staying here.

Excellent Stay!

My wife and I had a wonderful time staying at the Loverly. It was a little anniversary getaway for us and could not have been better. The accommodations were wonderful and the privacy of the location of the house was great. We will definitely be back for another stay.

Fantastic getaway cabin

Clean, well appointed, romantic and private. A short drive to most locations but the best part of your days will be getting back here and relaxing in the hot tub or by one of the fires with a loved one.

Wonderful, peaceful, relaxing

We enjoyed 3 nights at the Loverly. The home is beautiful, clean, and very welcoming! The peace and quiet of the remote location was a nice contrast to the busy atmosphere of downtown Asheville, which is a very convenient distance away. We had an unfortunate mishap with the oven, but Brea was very understanding and easy to communicate with. We have added the Loverly to our list of places we must return to as soon as possible!

The Loverly was Lovely :-)

Perfect location, peaceful and secluded. Hot tub, fireplaces, and other amenities were top notch. Brea, the host, was so reponsive and considerate. She has really created such a romantic and cozy environment. We really hated to leave :-) It was a truly wonderful place to stay.

Relax and Rejuvenate

Relax in the bubbling hot tub as the wind blows through the trees and the birds sing. Enjoy a quiet moment in the gazebo while warming by the gas fireplace. Magical spot

This is an awesome little spot tucked away on a mountain road. It was perfect for my wife and to sneak away and have some time together. The bed was amazing as well as the hot tub. Everything was cozy and welcoming. Also Breia did a great job communicating and has a super organized system in place. We definitely look forward to coming back in the future.

Relaxing Anniversary Getaway

The Loverly checked all of the boxes for our anniversary getaway. Brea is a delight, and very thorough! Her cottage is cozy, and the setting is so peaceful. The bed is amazingly comfortable, and the kitchen is very well stocked. Tip: Be sure to hit the grocery prior to arriving. We were happy to have one chilly morning to enjoy our coffee and reading by the fireplace. We enjoyed hiking nearby, visited Brevard, Black Rock Mountain and Asheville. The gravel road was our only concern with our trip. We met quite a few work trucks while coming and going and had to back up & find a safe place to pull off for them to pass each time. Future travelers should be aware and use caution.

Honeymoon Stay at The Loverly

The Loverly is such a beautiful place to stay! Pictures didn’t do it justice! Up in the mountains, you may want to make sure your car has 4 wheel drive, but it was perfect! My husband and I stayed there for a week in June for our honeymoon. About half an hour from town it’s a convenient location. Brea is an amazing host! She is super great with communication and provides so many suggestions on things to do during your stay. Check in and check out are seamless and if her instruction book leaves room for any questions you may have, just give her a call or text and she’s able to help! Definitely would stay here again if back in the Asheville area!

Great Escape

The property exceeded what we had anticipated. Everything, furniture, silverware, cutlery, dishes, pots and pans were of high quality. The tv and dvd player were easy to operate and there was not enough time to screen all the dvd's provided. The bed was one of the most comfortable we've ever slept in. The cleanliness and decor of the property were impeccable and check-in and out were seamless, as well as the ease of communication with the owner. This is a highly recommened property not to be missed. We will be revisiting.

Peaceful escape in nature

The property has everything you need and Brea is more than helpful and available to help make your stay perfect. We enjoyed the large trees, the sounds of nature, the fireplaces and the hottub. The location is great, between Lake Lure and Asheville, which is right where we wanted to be to hike and explore. We loved the wine place right in Fairview, Rooted in Wine, along with Hickory Nut Gap to get fresh, local meat to grill. The only warning is that it is a tough driveway to get up. We had a small rental SUV and we couldn't get up the driveway going forward. Thankfully, my husband grew up in the mountains so he backed up the driveway each time and it wasn't a problem. Other than that, it's just a bit further from everything to go down the slow, dirt road, but we didn't mind that. We wanted the more remote feel. We would definitely stay again if back in the area!
