"We stayed in June 2026 and we learned that new ownership / management had just opened the month prior following a renovation / spruce up. Having had the privilege to stay in some nice hotels over the years, this one stands out as my all-time favorite. The grounds are stunning and large amidst a rather dense resort town. Proximity to center of Forte was great — we typically walked (15 mins), but we did use the on demand shuttle service which never took more than 5 minutes from when we called. You can tell every last element of the hotel’s decor and design was carefully curated with a nostalgic nod to Italian design and culture - the result is understated 5-star elegance. We stayed in a deluxe room which was beautiful, impeccably clean, and spacious. Bathroom was stunning, large and functional (great water pressure). Bed was A+. Large balcony. We spent a lot of time at the pool which was beautifully set amongst the landscape and equipped with ample comfortable loungers lined with lush towels. The bar / restaurant next to the pool served tasty drinks and food. In addition to the staff’s warmth and kindness, they all took pride in their work. It was our first trip abroad with our 6 month old, and we notified the hotel just before arriving that we would need a crib — we arrived to the room and a beautiful, photoshoot worth crib awaited. The staff was so accommodating in making sure we had everything we needed for our baby. Already figuring out when we can come back."

"Case Dane is right at the La Spezia Train Station. I had my concerns re noise, but it was amazing, we had absolutely no issues. The room and the bathroom were spacious, clean with the little things you expect: coffee, fridge, safety box, etc. The breakfast is more of a snack (coffee, juice and croissant/foccaccia), at a cafe a few steps away. While frugal, it was tasty. The staff was amazing. Giuglia was very attentive, helping us with everything and keeping in touch ahead of our stay. All of the staff were amazing. The manager took the time to guide me on his moped, to the garage, which really was just around the corner. Parking was convenient and secure (a private underground spot: a garage for 1 car, with its own door, inside a bigger underground garage). If you are driving, you will need to make sure you provide your license plate ahead of time. No hassles checking-in or out. The location was great. Being at the train station allowed us to get trains to Cinque Terre easily and walk down the main pedestrian strip in la Spezia, all the way to the Marina, through the historic centre. I recommend it."

"Upon arrival the lift wasn't working, so we had to climb up to the 4th floor with all our bags. It was repaired that day. Great location near shops, restaurants and trains/buses. Room was small with no kitchenette; only kettle, very small fridge and coffee pod machine. You have to use bathroom sink for water. Only provided coffee cups and teaspoons, so all meals have to be eaten out, which doesn't really suit us traveling with children. Block out shutters, curtains and comfy bed meant great sleep. Staff were very responsive."
