Great house, sketchy neighborhood
The house was nice, lots of space and beds. The house was clean but smelled like dog and cat pee. The neighborhood was a bit rough, very loud with dogs barking (next door yappy dogs into the night) and people playing music in their cars. Very run down block with cars parked all over. At least two windows do not latch in the house. Overall it was a good stay and a perfect house for a family, but we probably would not stay on that block again. Vacasa is on top of it and communicated well.

Quaint outside & spacious and clean inside
Property very much as depicted in pictures - nice rooms, plenty of space, clean, and nice amenities. Located in a very accessible area and central to most Galveston sites. Some interesting neighborhood properties, but no impact on stay whatsoever.

Enjoyed our stay, everything was clean, there was MORE than enough room for everyone. The beach and everything we needed was right around the corner! We are definitely coming back this summer!

Good value
The property was comfortable, spacious, and conveniently located in a quiet working man's neighborhood. The following includes some friendly feedback for the owners and property managers. Overall, it was a decent value and relatively comfortable for my family of four. However, my teenager did have to double up the thin bunk bed mattresses for more comfort. I think they'd be fine for grade school aged kids, but not adults or some teens. To me, it seems in need of a deep cleaning (i.e. Baseboards and cabinets) and maybe some fresh wall paint. That's not to say it was filthy... Also, I did use the Vacasa app to message the property manager about extending our stay at the beginning of our week, but they never responded, so we moved on to stay in Kemah instead. The property also didn't have beach towels as described... Not a huge deal, but just more wasteful "stuff" we had to buy for our beach days. Would be nice if there were some basic beach items to borrow (i.e. umbrella, cooler, towels, beach toys, etc.). Overall, the kitchen was well stocked and even had a slow cooker that we used to make corned beef and cabbage for St. Patty's Day. The knives were dull and the glass cutting board is hard to cut on, but these are minor... common issues with most rental properties we've stayed in.

The house is a great space for several families to stay together. It had most everything we needed. However, it was not very clean. The floors were filthy and definitely hadn’t been mopped. Despite that, we enjoyed our stay. Also it does not have a gas grill despite one being in the pictures.

At Home in Galveston
Very good. The property was clean and ready on time. The location was ideal for our needs. The kitchen was great. We could have used a frying pan, but there was almost everything else we could think of. The towels and linens were great and plentiful. There were some minor inconveniences, such as the master bedroom door would not close and the air conditioners filters needed to be changed, but nothing that would stop us from coming back We really appreciated the wifi and tv, the kitchen appliances, and location.

The living room furniture appears to be newer in the online photos. The couches and chairs could stand to be cleaned. However, the overall value was excellent.

Lovely home w/ many broken appliances
The home itself was lovely ~ spacious, mostly clean, plenty of beds, with a small but comfy back yard for us and our dogs. However, when we arrived, the toilet was clogged (took my husband 30 minutes and he finally pulled out a bunch of plastic and hair, suggesting the toilet had not been cleaned before our arrival). The dehumidifier did not work, and very soon we discovered neither did the dishwasher, washing machine, or dryer, meaning we had to wash everything by hand and hang it around the house (raining when we were there so we couldn't hang anything outside) and had to wash all dishes by hand. Not a tragedy, but we spent much of our time cleaning by hand instead of tending to a sick relative, which is why we came to the area. Maybe it's all fixed by now, and repair people DID come to try to fix stuff, but they only worked on the washer & dryer, ignored the rest, and said it would be a week before someone could get parts (the day we left, I believe--too late for us). The VRBO company seemed to want to be responsive to our requests, but the email responses I received from the owners were curt and not especially friendly. (I had considered renting two other places before this one, but this one was closest to what we needed; however, the other owners were most kind and friendly, asking what we might need ~ real Southern hospitality ~ the lack of warmth from these owners wasn't a deal breaker, but it FELT good to hear helpful words from the people we ended up not renting from.) We also asked for help with the TV, which we couldn't get anything but Netflix on, but no response. My cousin who lived two hours away came (he had the same system as the one in the house) but could not figure it out either (he's a doctor). There were also almost no cooking utensils (one pot, a non-stick pan with most of the non-stick stuff scraped off, and one or two other things), so we had to buy quite a bit at Walmart to be able to cook in. Otherwise, the house was comfy despite those issues.

Worst stay we have encountered ( Deserves no stars but had to choose one )
Pictures can be very misleading . Other than the furniture being the same that’s in the pictures it was very dark and not very bright like the pictures seem. That’s not the major issue . The major issue is the black mold throughout the house . Some of it is visable , I can only imagine what’s in there that we can’t see. And that’s very alarming . The dryer was broken and that rental agent knew and did not let us know but they did resolve that issue . The tile is cracked and broken throughout the house . The laundry room area is the worst . Sharp pieces and a weak floor make you feel like you could fall through . Something is living in the walls between the first bedroom and second and we’re extremly active at night time . The list can literally go on and on from nails sticking out on the front porch to the front steps being weak to the outlet hanging out of the wall. I do not recommend this place . For the amount that we paid it just wasn’t worth it .

The property was just okay. We probably would not return to this location.
The home was clean and had plenty of room. The bedrooms were fine. The kitchen did not have a skillet that was very big. The dishwasher was terrible so we just washed everything by hand. Also bought paper products to help. There were not near enough trash bags so we bought more. Also had to buy toilet paper and paper towels. They give a limited supply and for the price we paid I felt it should have been more. The striker on the grill didn’t work so we bought a lighter so we could use it. On the second day we were there we noticed a terrible sewer smell from the front bathroom. Also we killed the biggest cockroach in the bedroom I have ever seen. We left a day early and stayed elsewhere. The problems were reported to the manager so hopefully they will be addressed. The city of Galveston is beautiful and overall we enjoyed our time there.

Comfy and close!
We did very much enjoy the house once a few bugs were worked out by management. They were quick to respond to our problems and easy to work with. I did find the kitchen a little under prepared-no condiments whatsoever. Bring your own salt and pepper!! One of the bunk beds was very squeaky-kids didn’t enjoy that at all. Close to everything. We would stay there again.

Nice Budget friendly home for a group.
The home was clean and well stocked for our group of 8. The property has another rental site under the same roof which had us worried. Had a few issues (cable TV did not work and no laundry detergent) but other than that the property was nice. We would probably not stay there again.

Locked out!!!!
While in town for business (group of 6 women), we did not arrive to a pleasant situation. The code did not work, and after contacting Vacasa thru the app, the 2nd code still didn’t work. The supposed lock box with a hidden key was never located. While trying to get inside still (now past dark) we heard someone in the backyard. We then had to get a policeman to come and check the home and yard after a 3rd code was finally found in paperwork at main office. This entire process went on for hours. Too bad we didn’t get to actually rest before our early meetings the following morning. However, on the plus side, it was clean and had plenty of space.

Nice place overrall
The property was nice. The wording of the description made me think there was an actual pull out couch, not a chair that pulls out into a twin size cot looking thing. I had to go buy laundry detergent because there wasn’t any in the house already and was asked to start laundry before we left. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

Home works well given the multiple bedroom and baths
The home was very good. Kitchen was great with exception of no skillet despite plenty of pots and pans. :) Floors have not been mopped in a long time. Gas grill is worn out and was without lp gas. House has strong WiFi and Netflix/Roku. Overall, we had a great time.
