"This is a home set in amazing surroundings where it is quiet and you can see and hear wildlife. The people are so friendly and helpful (we had a tyre flat in nearby village of Poolewe and local garage in Gairloch, Forbes pick up and cleaner Janette helped us out so much). I would highly recommend if you like nature and be somewhat isolated from others. The beaches are stunning and Gairloch has everything you need. The mountain ranges and the different types of water (loch’s, waterfalls, sea) along west coast and also down onto the isle of Skye are soo picturesque and beautiful. We Love Scotland!!! ❤️"

"Our stay at Arrowdale was magical! Clare greeted us with delicious homemade scones and shortbread. We stayed for 1 week over Christmas, and the house was festively decorated, which we loved!Each morning we opened the shades to see wildlife and spectacular views! Clare’s place is very well equipped with everything you need for a short or longer stay! We enjoyed cozy evenings by the fire after making dinner in a kitchen that was very clean with every gadget you could ever need! We appreciated the little details - a handful of different seasonings, some basics like olive oil, flour, sugar and salt, baking paper and cling wrap, all of this made cooking in a different country just like a normal evening at home. Clare provided excellent information about the local area including the private trails on the property with incredible views! The local area is absolutely stunning, we went hiking each day to the different local trails. We highly recommend the fairy lochs and bomber crash site. A quiet morning on Gairloch beach was the perfect way to spend Christmas Eve. We also visited Victoria Falls twice so we could watch the sunset over Loch Maree. We used WalkHighlands for additional hiking in the area too! We spent some time in town checking out the local shops like Mountain Coffee Co and Farm and Garden store. We absolutely loved everything about our stay, and if we find ourselves in Scotland again, we will certainly stay at Clare’s! "
