"A lovely guest house, with a very pleasant and accommodating owner. Our room, although fairly small, was clean and comfortable. We were given access to a lovely sitting room and, as we were the only guests staying at the time, we really appreciated that we could just put our pj's on and relax in front of a roaring log burner. To add to the experience, we were told to help ourselves to some lovely single malt whiskey, which was a lovely touch. Only one of us drinks alcohol and I really enjoyed the 'wee dram'. Breakfast was excellent, complete with home-made jams and marmalade. We opted for a lighter breakfast of eggs, from the owners chickens which were lovely. After days travelling and indulging in the full Scottish breakfast, a simple breakfast was a real treat. We would highly recommend the guest house. Thank you."

"Staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel is in a good location with the option of some parking spaces or on-street parking which is free between 5pm and 10am. Our room was modern, bright and well appointed. We had a room at the front of the property with a good view of the harbour and hills in the distance. Overall a very enjoyable stay."

"Lovely, quiet three bedroom cottage in Poolewe. The cottage was clean and well kept. The front garden overlooking the river is particularly nice. Because Poolewe is tiny and does not have a local shop, it would have been helpful to have some basics such as salt, pepper, dried herbs, coffee, or tea provided. If not, then please tell future guests not to expect these basics so they can better prepare in advance. Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable but beds are getting very soft. Kitchen is well equipped for basic cooking/dining (although see above). We loved the CD movie colllection and had a James Bond movie festival! "
