The stairs to the second floor are circular and somewhat steep, a challenge for those with mobility limitations or heavy luggage. Lots of space indoors for kids to play, but none outside. "Hideo and Yuka were wonderful hosts. Hideo is a great guide and very easy to talk to. The authentic Thatch home was both beautiful and comfortable. We enjoyed having coffee every morning while looking out the large windows at the cherry blossum trees. Very nice location away from all the people in Kyoto. Easy 1hr bus ride into Kyoto city. They have a friendly Golden Retriever and a French Bulldog to play with if you like dogs! The Fishmarket excursion was fun and unique with Hideo helping select...

"蔵に宿泊しました。気温などにもよるのかもしれませんが、トイレと浴槽の水回りの匂いが気になりました。換気扇の出力を高めた方が良いかもしれません。設備は1階にも別にエアコンがあると良いと思ったのと、構造上難しいのかもしれませんが、居間にも流しがあれば、簡単な調理ができるのにと思いました。昨年、離れの方を利用して、設備面が完璧だったので少し残念。半面、1人で独占して使える点は良かったのですが。あと、価格がもう少しリーズナブルだと助かります。"
