We absolutely loved staying here. Very clean house and property. Fenced back yard is great place for dogs to run and play. Location ideal and Owner very responsive to questions. Will definitely stay again!
The house was warm, clean and very quiet. The hot tub and firepit were well appointed and in a great spot to enjoy the view of the land around the cabin!
The Wildflower Lodge was clean and well-maintained, and the owners were friendly and responsive. This was a perfect home base for day trips with our toddler and infant to the caverns and other local attractions. We were also pleasantly surprised by the variety of tasty food options available via DoorDash. We would love to find a time to stay here again!
This property is gorgeous. The house was very clean as well as the back yard. Check in and checkout directions are clearly posted. The addition of the grill was nice. We cooked out one day. I love that the owners welcome pets.
The property is as described in listing. Absolutely beautiful house and property. My wife and I brought our dog, the fenced in yard was a plus. We will definitely be returning.
Wildflower Lodge was conveniently located between Shannon state park, and downtown front Royal. We were able to drive back-and-forth to both places for meals, fishing, hiking, etc. with very little inconvenience. My husband and I were able to enjoy the hot tub, sauna, as well as playing Cornhole, and pool. just what we need to enjoy our 31st wedding anniversary!!!
We had a wonderful 4-night stay at Wildflower Lodge over my 50th Birthday. The property is very close to Skyline Drive and many places for walking around and hiking. The backyard is huge and all fenced in, so it’s perfect for kiddos and dogs. There is a lovely outdoor balcony/patio area with BBQ grill and table for dining al fresco. The gourmet kitchen is a home chef’s dream! We will definitely be back again!
We had a fabulous time at Wildflower lodge! The house has everything you could ever need. The hot tub was fun, the outdoor lights are beautiful, and the fire pit would be nice in cooler weather. There are a lot of starter items provided by the owner which makes your first so comfortable and the tub is unbelievable. The owner is super responsive if you need anything.. even non the weekend.
Beds were comfortable and slept well. House is nice with many amenities and dog amenities. Received no response from host regarding how to heat up the house and replacement batteries for the smoke detector. Improvised and used the gas fireplaces to supplement heat. Some of the showers were cold and didn't stay warm after a couple minutes.
Stayed with a few girlfriends for the weekend. Although we had rain all day Saturday, the house was so nice and clean, with plenty to do inside and around the area! Enjoyed hot tub and firepit before the rain hit. Kitchen was nice and well-stocked with all the utensils and appliances. Bar stools at the island would be a great addition! Side note: there ARE cameras on the front and back of the house that are not disclosed in the listing. It bothered us so we covered them during our stay.
When a listing says luxury, it’s always a coin toss as to whether it truly will be. Wildflower Lodge was every bit of what it says it is. Everything is updated throughout the home. Modern furnishings and accessories throughout. Very tastefully decorated! And such thoughtful items provided by the owner. Flashlights all well located. Duraflame and ingredients for s’mores. Dog bowls and microfiber towels. Communication was great with the host. We thoroughly enjoyed the fireplaces in the living room and primary bedroom. And loved the “take a book, leave a book”. We truly cannot wait to come back.
My family and I enjoyed this house. It was a great location to the National Park and we also made a daytrip to DC. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The owner was super communicative and helped with anything we needed. I would definitely book this house again if we were coming back to the area.
Look no further for a gorgeous, comfortable, beautifully appointed home for your next family getaway. Three generations of us enjoyed every bit of this property from the fun backyard activities to the cozy yet modern great room and kitchen to the very comfortable beds and bathrooms. It was the perfect spot from which to enjoy local sites like Luray caverns, Skyline Drive, the state park, historic downtown, great restaurants and local boutiques, and endless options for the comic book and beer loving crowd. The host was very professional and responsive. We all had a blast. I will add that this is the cleanest vacation property I’ve ever stayed at, and that really allows me to fully enjoy my vacation.
This was a great home as a base camp for our vacation in Shenandoah. The home was very clean, the beds were very comfortable and the fireplace worked great! The home owners thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable and stress free, including coffee, coffee filters, plenty of paper products and soaps. They provided plenty of soft blankets for lounging on the couch and the wifi worked well. This home is great proximity to some great hiking trails and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book this home again.
The house is beautiful and comfortable! It is a great location to drive Skyline Drive, go to wineries, visit Port Royal or Winchester. The history in the area is more than you can see in a week. We were upset that we didn’t get to use the fire pit due to winds and rain. Thank you for sharing your house with us!
This was such an amazing home to visit! The owners payed attention to so many details from having wood for the fire pit, to having a basket of s’mores for us to enjoy outside by the fire pit. The beds are very comfortable and the master bathroom is amazing ! It has a soaker tub and a shower that is just like a spa with a rain shower head . We will definitely come back !
This is an absolutely beautiful home and we greatly enjoyed our long weekend stay. The outdoor area was by far our favorite part. The covered deck, clean hot tub, lovely fire pit, and the fenced yard was beyond perfect for our 2 dogs. They did not want to leave! We cooked almost all our meals at the home and the owner provides so many nice touches, including S'mores ingredients! The location was nice being close to Front Royal and to many hiking trails. The only downside to this property is that it is very close to the road, so you will constantly hear road noise when sitting outside. That was a big bummer, but I still strongly recommend this beautiful home!
