The Space:
The crisp mountain air greets you as you step onto the porch, and steam curls from the hot tub against a sky dusted with stars. Inside, warm light filters through the sunroom’s large windows, framing the quiet woods that surround the cottage. You can hear the soft hush of the Shenandoah Valley, a perfect backdrop for unwinding after a day of winter hikes.
Sleeping arrangements
Two bedrooms comfortably sleep up to four guests. The first bedroom holds a queen bed, while the second features a set of bunk beds. Fresh linens, extra pillows and blankets are provided for chilly nights. A spacious loft offers a cozy spot to read or relax, but it is intended for hanging out rather than sleeping.
Living spaces
Radiant heating keeps the main living area snug, and a Smart TV with fast Wi‑Fi lets you stream shows or catch up on work at the dedicated workspace. The sunroom, lined with wooded views, is ideal for sipping coffee while watching snowfall drift through the trees. An indoor fireplace is present for décor only and cannot be used.
Kitchen & dining
A full kitchen is equipped for preparing hearty breakfasts or relaxed dinners after a day on the trails. The adjacent dining area keeps everyone connected around the table, making meals feel like a shared experience.
Outdoor living
The hot tub is available year‑round, especially inviting on cold evenings. A private backyard includes a fire pit, BBQ grill, picnic table and a small patio where you can step outside whenever the weather permits. Lake access is provided via a short path or dock, adding a quiet water element to your stay. The yard is not fully fenced, so pets should be supervised.
Location & surroundings
The cottage sits about a 15‑minute drive from downtown Front Royal, where restaurants, shops and local favorites await. Shenandoah National Park is also roughly 15 minutes away, offering winter hikes and scenic drives. Breweries and wineries are within easy reach for relaxed outings.
Pet policy & notes
The home is pet‑friendly for dogs; cats are not allowed due to allergies. A very slight smoke smell remains from previous owners, which most guests do not notice, but very sensitive travelers may prefer another option. Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs and walkways before each arrival, though leaves, pollen or other natural debris may still be visible during certain seasons. Self check‑in, free on‑site parking and a private entrance make arrival and departure smooth.
