We stayed for one night as part of a road trip in the south of France. Staff were friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. Maps of nearby sites were great and roman ruins in this area are interesting. Easy to drive into St Tropez or St Maxime from here in a much quieter setting. Clean room with very nice bathroom.

Great hotel for a good price
The hotel staff are professional and helpful. The rooms are clean and nicely remodeled and the hotel grounds are beautiful and well kept. My only complaint is the noise. We could hear everything going on outside our room. The mornings we were woken up by other guest talking or the maid service vacuuming and cleaning rooms at 8 a.m. We were on the first floor and our friends were up on a higher floor and they did not experience the noise level that we did. Overall the hotel was great for the value.

We only stayed at this hotel for one night and thank god. Upon arrival we were told our room wouldn’t be ready until 4 (even thought our reservation said 3), we asked the hotel to look after our luggage. We were then told to take our own luggage to a room round the back. We have stayed at a lot of hotels, the staff are always more than happy to help. Not in this case! After 4 o clock and going to the room we were greated by the fire alarm. No one seemed to care and let it continue. Turns out it was because our neighbours had had a shower with the door open. What the hell!? Once in the room we discovered how horrendous it was! Completely outdated, dark and dingy with nowhere to move - I had actually paid extra for a better room too!!! I couldn’t wait to get to sleep and move to our next destination, the hotel couldn’t move us even though I had asked. Horay, the morning came. I packed straight away and went to breakfast. This was shocking. No staff to greet and sit you. No staff around at all! You have to cook your own eggs! The hotel did offer us free breakfast as compensation however I wouldn’t have paid the €13 per person they were asking for anyway. There was hardly anything there and far too many people cramped into one little corner of the room. I would rate this hotel 1*

Dear Daniella, Thank you for leaving your comments, although we would have preferred to be more positive. As stated in our booking conditions, our rooms are available from 4.00PM. If the room is ready earlier then you can check-in earlier, but in your case this wasn't possible. If you ask us for an earlier check-in we always do our best to make this possible. While waiting for your room to be ready we propose a closed area where you can leave your luggage in the meanwhile. We show this room to our guests and usually they are happy to leave their luggage there by themselves. We are sorry to see that this was a problem for you, it is the first time someone complains about this service. Our fire alarm system has been set up according to the rules and regulations of the French national authorities. We are obliged to put smoke alarms in each room. The alarm must have been set off by a guest who must have steamed up his bathroom with a long and hot shower. While opening the door of the bathroom the steam must have set off the alarm bells. This happens very rarely. Once the alarm bells ring we can't stop them for 5 minutes. This is not our choice but rules made by the authorities. Indeed this is very long and believe me, it is not for our pleasure, but for your safety! We are surprised that you found our breakfast buffet shocking. In summer we have at least three staff members in charge of the breakfast area. It is very strange that you didn't see one of them. We propose a large variety of products to meet nearly everyone’s’ needs. What products did you miss??? We do our utmost to help our guests having a great time in our hotel. We get a lot of feedback and it seems that in general we succeed to do this. We are very sorry and we apologise that this didn't work out for you, but unfortunately we can't please everyone even though we would like to do so.

Great for the beach with its own beach bar. As in their pics. Very nice. Hotel itself is basic 4 star. Nice restaurant too. Worth it. Yes.

Good all rounder. Easy to get to, plenty of parking and it looks like the rooms have been refurbished fairly recently. The hotel is close to a lovely sandy beach and there are also places to eat there too.

Disappointing & unfriendly
After a long drive from st Malo we were not greeted with a polite good day, how was ur trip, please enjoy ur stay, need anything ask.. nope just here's ur room keys, there's a map of area & to get instructions for the 2nd car park or hire bikes was awful & we didn't find either as they don't speak good English. You get 1 bottle of water on ur 1st night only ! The chandelier in our tiny over priced room was way too low and me and my husband kept banging our heads it was positioned on the right side over the bed. The bathroom needed re plastering as the ceiling was coming away. The private beach was a joke by the side of a road under a bridge tiny and they charge u €20 for the beds !!! The only good thing about this hotel was the restaurant attached to it, the staff in there were excellent the food was superb. I got a friendlier welcome at our stop over at the Novotel in Bourges! It doesn't take much to be courteous and if u can't be then don't work in the hotel business !!

BAD SINK PROBLEM!
THE ONLY THING THAT DIDN'T PLEASE ME WAS THE DESIGN OF THE HAND BASIN IN THE BATHROOM. THE SPOUT EXTENDED FROM THE WALL RIGHT OUT TO THE MIDDLE OF THE SINK ABOVE THE PLUG HOLE, SO IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO USE. I HAVE THE SAME ROCA DESIGN AT HOME AND I SUGGEST THEY CHANGE THIS SPOUT FOR A SHORTER ONE. IT LOOKED AESTHETICALLY PLEASING BUT RENDERED THE SINK IMPOSSIBLE TO USE. I THINK IT'S THE SAME IN ALL THE ROOMS. THE RESTAURANT WAS PRETTY GOOD, BUT THEY NEEDED TO KNOW IF BREAKFAST WAS REQUIRED FOR ALL DAYS OF THE STAY ON CHECK-IN, WHICH ISN'T A GOOD IDEA. WE ENDED UP PASSING ON IT AND HAD COFFEE AND CROISSANT ACROSS THE ROAD, WHICH IS INCOME LOST. A MORE FLEXIBLE ATTITUDE TO THIS WOULD PAY DIVIDENDS, I'M SURE.

I would recommend the steak !
Despite the fact that it was undergoing a major refurbishment project, the staff were excellent,helpful and friendly.The room had a brilliant sea view and was comfy and clean.The outside areas are really lovely to sit in and the food in the restaurant was the best we have had on this trip.

We had a lovely room with a balcony and sea view at the front of the hotel, but it overlooked the outside dining area and bar seating, where piped music seemed to be playing all day, not to loud but annoying. We also felt exposed when on the balcony as diners could look up. Our room wasn't fully cleaned on the Sunday morning, coffee cups not washed up, coffee not replenished, the other days were fine. Milk isn't provided in the room for tea/coffee.

OK, but not great.
Booked a sea view room with balcony, but was greeted by a big concrete wall blocking any view, with the sea being behind trees anyway. We know there are nice rooms with a nice view and nice balcony, we were just a bit unlucky. Hotel in general was nice and convenient location, with free parking.

Excellent Dutch run Hotel
The Dutch make good hoteliers. The hotel was good in all respects. We chose a room with sea view and were not disappointed. The whole experience was efficient from reception to restaurant dining. Good food and service enhanced the stay. The only problem was the weather at the end of March. Hardly a fault that could be levelled at the hotel.

Good location, very nice breakfast buffet and friendly satf. Nice rooms. Sea view is limited unless you ask for panoramic view rooms for an extra charge. Only issue is parking access during dinner time when the restaurant guests fill up the parking leaving no room for hotel residents.

I rate this hotel very highly. Breakfast was extensive, buffet style, and could be enjoyed out on their patio facing the ocean. They have parking included if you arrive early enough. If you arrive later you have a problem. Excellent restaurants across the street.

We first stayed at this hotel 32 years ago, on a trip to the Grand Prix in Monaco, when I took the opportunity to propose to my wife .... 32 years later a trip down memory lane did not disappoint. The location of the hotel is perfect, right by the beach, located half way between Monaco and St Tropez, plenty to see and not to far to travel to get a real taste of the French Riviera. The hotel is walking distance from the village centre, with shops, restaurants and village square complete with local market. Breakfast on the terrace with a fantastic view across the bay is a great start to planning the day and on returning to the hotel you only need to pop across the road and down the steps to the beach to find a handful of restaurants offering something for all tastes. Staff were friendly, rooms modern and clean, food great ..... apologies if this sounds a bit 'professional' my wife has dictated it !

Disappointing and major noise issue.
First, the hotel is undergoing renovations (and they are not disclosing that!!!) so be prepared to hear drilling, banging, breaking of the furniture from 8 am until 7 pm. You will get no peace nor will be able to sleep. I had to call the reception 3 times to tell them to stop the noise and STILL we had to leave early because the noise was unbearable. The hotel/motel is being remodeled but only so far partially - for example, in our room they put a newer bed/painting/and a small TV but left out the old, stained and worn out cabinets, desk, closet and doors. The room was very small so the bathroom door had a sliding door - not giving much privacy. The bathroom is tiny! It is renovated (partially) but very small. At 10am in the morning, we tried to have coffee in the restaurant area but could not use a table on the covered terrace because that area was reserved for lunch that starts at 12:00 so we pretty much had to leave without being able to even have coffee. Very disappointing and unprofessional. An old and worn out place that does not know what it wants to be - go somewhere else, do not waste your money on this place.

j'ai payé 300 euros pour une chambre vue mer on arrive dans l'hôtel déjà une odeur pestilentielle aucune excuse pour ce dérangement du coup on voulait manger au restaurant de l'hôtel car il avait une bonne critique mais vu l'odeur on a préféré manger ailleurs et en rentrant dans notre chambre il etait assez tôt car nous avons un enfant de 3 ans là à 22h on va dire un bar juste en bas sur la plage commence à mettre la musique mais à fond on avait l'impression d'être sur la plage aucune insonorisation j'avais l'impression que les fenêtres étaient restées ouvertes tellement c'était fort Je trouve scandaleux qu'à 300 euros la nuit au mois d'octobre on est pas une chambre insonorisée et la musique s'est arrêtée à 2h30 du matin Merci ce week-end je l'avais pris pour que mon compagnon se repose car il a une dure année il est rentré encore plus fatigué épuisé nerveusement c'est honteux rien pas un geste pour s'excuser on me répond simplement que je ne suis pas là seule qui s'est plaint de cela Vraiment dommage parce que l'hôtel est très joli le personnel était vraiment très bien et le petit déjeuner excellent Mais je le deconseille fortement pour toutes les autres raisons

Bonjour,Je vous remercie de votre retour et regrette sincèrement que votre séjour n'était pas à la hauteur de vos attentes.Il semblerait en effet que vous n'avez pas eu de chance.Nous ne savons pas d'où venait l'odeur que vous décrivez. Parfois quand la cuve alimentaire du restaurant est vidangée cela peut provoquer des odeurs désagréables mais passagères. Etait-ce le cas ?Nous avons installé plusieurs diffuseurs de parfum d'ambiance dans notre établissement. Souvent nos clients font justement la remarque qu'il sent bon quand ils arrivent à l'hôtel... Concernant le bruit provenant de la plage en face de l'hôtel. En principe, à cette période de l'année tous les restaurants de plage sont fermés. Il est alors très rare que nos clients soient dérangés par notre voisinage.Nous sommes navrés que c'était le cas pour vous.Sachez que notre hôtel est ouvert à l'année et qu'en règle général nos clients sont très satisfaits de leur séjour chez nous. Nous avons même de la chance d'avoir beaucoup de clients fidèles qui reviennent régulièrement. Les problèmes que vous avez rencontrés ne sont donc d'ordre systématique. Néanmoins nous avons bien compris votre mécontentement et essayerons de nous faire pardonner lors d'une prochaine visite.
