We had a great time at this property. Marsha takes great pride in keeping this home immaculate for guests. The property grounds are amazing! Love the large yard, amazing view and the creek as well!
Home was immaculate and well stocked. We loved the porch, spent hours watching the wildlife show, including 15 deer and a family of turkeys. The home was very comfortable and inviting. Thank you!
Secluded Acreage with Mountain Views and Creekside
This beautiful secluded retreat was the perfect getaway home nestled in the mountains with a wooded creek. We absolutely loved sitting on the back porch every night to watch the deer and turkey come out. Marsha was the perfect host and provided a hummingbird feeder for us to hang and we were able to see them everyday. The home was one of the cleanest rentals and provided all the essentials we needed. We highly recommend this gem and look forward to future trips there.
Wow! What a lovely and enchanting cottage in such a beautiful setting! We enjoyed the serenity while drinking our coffee on the porch in the morning and listening to the sound of the creek. We also enjoyed watching the deer in the late evening as the sun went down. This was a great location for us to takeoff on our Harley each day and enjoy the beautiful mountains. The cottage was well stocked with toiletries and cleaning supplies. And, it was without a doubt the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed during our many years of travel! We’ll definitely be back!
Wow, what an incredible property. It is what we had hoped for and even better. My husband and I stayed here for 10 days with our small dog. We absolutely loved the Serene Creekside Sanctuary and were very sad having to leave when our time was up. The property is beautiful and I loved sitting by the creek and read or just take in the beauty all around. It is very peaceful all around with incredible views. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need. I had the best night sleep every night. It is very clean and as soon as we walked inside we fell in love with this place. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the deer and turkeys. There are hiking trails close by and various small towns we visited are just a short drive away. We have stayed at many different VRBOs over the years and this one tops them all. We are looking forward to our next visit in the Spring. Marsha was very quick to respond with any questions we had and is a wonderful host.
I stayed at this property for three weeks and this was exactly the vacation I wanted for myself and my Labrador! The property was perfect. Over five acres for my dog to be free to explore and play in. The stream was fun for her to romp in. The serenity was overwhelming. In the morning the only sounds were the birds and the creek. In the afternoon it was watching the deer and waiting for the fireflies to come out. The house itself was newly redone and perfect. Exactly as pictured. Lots of storage space and the kitchen was equipped as well or better than any rental I've ever used. The host was gracious and so concerned for our comfort and enjoyment at her rental. The internet worked perfectly, so there was no problem with TV or cell service even though cell service is often spotty in the mountains. The location between Clayton, GA and Franklin, NC was perfect as well. So much to do in the area that you could hardly run out of amazing places to hike. Restaurants really good as well. Overall this was one the best rentals I've ever had. Will definetly come back when I need a "time out!" Kind of thinking about how gorgeous it would be in the fall!!!
My father and I (with my two amazing dogs) stayed here for Memorial Day weekend 2024. What a fantastic time we had. The home we stayed in was EXCEPTIONAL! Marsha and Family thought of and provided everything we needed. The property is beautiful and well cared for. Beautiful views from the quaint back porch. A short walk to a babbling brook with a picnic table. The house itself was immaculate and laid out very well. The beds were super comfortable and we slept like babies. The primary bedroom's bathroom was amazing. Huge stall shower with dual sinks and walk-in closets. Everything was tastefully decorated and just perfected to the point that you just felt at home as soon as you walked in. Host even provided large sheets to cover furniture so my pups could be in my lap without getting fur/dirt on the furniture. Nice touch I thought. Kitchen was stocked with every utensil you might need. Of note a Keurig coffee maker is provided so just bring your K-pods. Location was perfect and EASY to get to. We spent the weekend looking at and hiking to waterfalls in the area. This property is perfect for that as there are at least a dozen waterfalls within a half hour drive.I'm already trying to plan my next getaway weekend. Guess where I'll be staying!!??
My husband & I & our dog, Murphy had a wonderful, relaxing stay at this cozy mountain cottage! It was well stocked with everything we needed & was quite clean & beautifully decorated for the fall season. We spent a lot of time on the back porch & saw deer & other wildlife daily! Marsha was a great communicator & easy to work with! We hope to return again someday!
Marsha, our host was an absolute pleasure to work with. Her home was decorated for Christmas and very festive. Each and every room was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The property was dog friendly and our dog loved the freedom to go out the back door and chase balls and check out the creek. We had access to the laundry room with washer and dryer. The gas fireplace was so nice on the chilly mornings and evenings. We will definitely return to this property.
We so enjoyed our stay at this cottage! Beautifully maintained and stocked and one of the cleanest we've ever walked into. Scenery, wildlife and seclusion at it's finest. A short walk down to the beautiful creek offers picnic table and chairs to enjoy quiet private time by the water. Highly recommend this cottage. Host answers any questions very quickly also.
The house was so nice we had 21 deer visit the yard every night along with rabbits, turkeys, hummingbird. The house was well stocked and very well. only issue was vrbo did not send us code code to get in but ownee
