"I was a little Leary driving into the lodge, especially once I was on the gravel road, but I have to say, my stay was one of the best experiences I had. "You stay here for the location! It sits on a great property with your own hill to climb and walking trails. You can see the mountains in the distance. Great wrap around porch. Cell service non-existent but they have a land line. (A WHAT?! LOL) Owners very responsive and communicative. Kitchen has sufficient items to cook.The only con was hiw far it is from the park and Terlingua, bit honestly, everything is a drive out there! The majority of the drive in to the property is paved, remaining few miles dirt road. We won't miss that drive LOL but the property was well worth a few bumps. Dirt road is actually pretty decent. "

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Casa de Creosote in Terlingua Ranch. Jim was incredibly welcoming, communicative, and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed while also giving us plenty of space to relax and enjoy our time:)The house itself was fantastic—comfortable, well-kept, and perfectly situated. The views were truly breathtaking, overlooking the surrounding mountains and offering a peaceful setting, especially at sunrise and sunset.If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with stunning scenery and a thoughtful host, this is the perfect place. Off-grid but well, you have all the amenities you normally need, still being in the middle of a desert so just be mindful, that's it!:) Relax and enjoy! "

"The trailer seemed much older than in the pictures, but it suited our needs for the week as we went back and forth to Big Bend NP. The hostess was very responsive and checked on us as one of the nights/mornings were very cold. We enjoyed walking around the property with the cactus starting their blooms. The Milky Way and dark sky area was the main reason to reserve this property. Our daughters have been wanting to capture it since they were little and it did not disappoint. Thank you for the great memories! "
