We really loved our time at The Islander, and this unit (115) in particular. If you’re looking for some thing with super fancy high end finishes this won’t be the unit for you, but everything was very clean and well-kept and all the furniture was very sturdy and made of real wood. The mattresses were also in excellent shape and made for very restful nights. The kitchen was well-stocked so that we could actually cook in the unit and with a television in the living room and each of the bedrooms there are plenty of options for entertainment, if you could tear yourself away from the beautiful exterior of the property. We absolutely loved that this unit was ground floor and that we basically had a beautiful yard of lush grass that our kids could play kickball and tag and frisbee on. We were so close to the beautiful gazebo for some shaded play and outdoor meals and with a pool and a hot tub also being so nearby, it was just an ideal location. We have four children, ages 11, nine, six, and four, And would definitely stay here again. Very close to everything that Destin has to offer and the walk to the beach is incredibly short. We were also pleasantly surprised by how many towels were provided for baths, and there were at least three rolls of toilet paper as well as a roll of paper towels, which got us through the week just fine.
