Congress Plaza Hotel

Congress Plaza Hotel

8/10 Good
"did a weekend getaway in the city, and this was a great inexpensive option! we ended up in an inner room with a king sized bed on the 14th floor. its definitely an older hotel, so it only had one elevator working to go up 14 flights depending on your room number. the elevator max capacity was only 10 ppl, but when you add luggage, it can be less. a lot of ppl had to wait multiple trips to ride the elevator. room was clean and orderly--complimentary water a nice touch--loved having an in room fridge to keep water/leftovers; bathroom was very nice with travel amenities. only complaint we have was on the peeling pleather coating on the bed's headboard--it would stick to our skin if we leaned on it or flake off onto the bed or floor. staff was very accommodating and pleasant to speak to for questions/clarifications! loved the lobby and the amenities as well as the in-house bar and restaurant! definitely would consider coming back!"
