"The room was clean and well decorated to the theme. Staff was helpful and prompt. Food was amazing. I had pan seared trout for dinner. Highly recommend as it is local fare. It was so good I couldn’t wait to try the breakfast burrito the next morning. Kudos to https cantina. You hit it out of the park!"

"Really lovely hotel at an affordable price biking-distance to downtown golden. The food at the taproom was great. I especially appreciated the fluffy robes in the room - you don’t often see that amenity (my favorite) at a hotel in this price range. My only negative feedback is that room 114 really lacks in privacy because it sits on the first floor with the window looking directly onto the restaurant patio and fire pit (and that view goes both ways). I wish they had put the bed on the opposite wall or something to make that feel more private. I don’t think that would be the case in any other room though and I booked my stay super last minute, so I’m guessing that’s the last room of that type that they offer to people."

"This place was amazing. Great location near everything downtown, river, trails, university. I loved walking out the door right into the middle of it all and yet it was very quiet in our place. One of the nicest kept locations we've stayed. With its ground floor entry next to the hill, it doesn't have a lot of views, but you can still see the giant M on Lookout Mountain from the living room. Very well kept flat with some nice old touches like the curved wall and wainscoting. Yet very well modernized. I was there for business at the university but the location made it into a lovely holiday to boot. A couple of blocks from the river trail that takes you right into the canyon. It would be fun for tubing or swimming in the summer, (if there is any water left- very dry year)."

"The pictures make the space look larger than it is, which is fairly normal. However, first night I got locked out do to the door electronic lock thing running low batteries and refusing to unlock. Had to call the after hours number, they didn't come to fix the batteries until noon the next day. They have a large bug infestation at the moment. I've lived in Colorado for a long time, and even if the weather is weird this year, that is no excuse to having to wake up to bugs crawling on you and finding bugs everywhere. I stayed here because I was getting Married in Golden ans wanted to sleep closer to our venue. Next time I would rather spend the extra money on a hotel bug free. I have so many pictures of the bugs here. "
