"We had a great weekend stay, the owner, Paul, built a beautiful beach house and was available for all our questions. The kids had a great time fishing and riding on the beach. The gulf cart rentals showed up before check-in and it wasn’t an issue. The rooms were clean and the view of the ocean was amazing. The elevator was a big plus, so much easier to get coolers to the top floor. Definitely will stay again."

"Beach was amazing. House has everything you need and in a prime location if you want distance from the hustle and bustle of Galveston. We found the daily 40 minute drive to Galveston manageable - even with our kids. Bonus - we were there for new year’s and there were so many sea shells to pick just a few steps away from the house. Jaclyn, hostess, was also very responsive. We would book again! "

"We never even left the property!!There’s something about a veranda by the water when it rains… that quiet rhythm of the sea, the air getting softer, everything slowing down just enough. Add a good book and cooking in the background and it’s kind of the perfect reset. Thank you!!"

"The house was in a great location but there were a lot of negatives. When we checked in there was a musty smell. It definitely was not aired out for guests. I thought it was just bc the house is on the water but it was the septic that stuck the whole stay. (We’ve stayed in a lot of remote places and the smell was pretty bad) There was a grill listed on the listing but when we went to use it there was no propane tank and it was dirty and the coating was peeling off. The shower was great. Lots of towels provided. As well as the beds were comfortable but there was only a comforter provided. No top sheet. All in all I would not stay there again. "

"Overall it was an awesome stay. The view of the beach was excellent. The house was very well kept and beautiful itself. The kitchen had everything we needed basically. The beds were comfortable Wi-Fi and TV's work just fine. All Communications with the host were excellent. We would recommend this place and we would stay again if the opportunity arises."

"This was by far the most disappointing vacation rental experience we’ve ever had. The property looked nothing like the photos listed online. It appears to have gone years without proper maintenance, there was siding completely missing from the front of the house, visible mold in bathrooms, a large burn on kitchen countertops, the furniture in the kitchen and living room was filthy, the rug had stains all the way around, disgusting.One of the biggest issues was the misleading description of the location of the 4th bedroom and 3rd bathroom. I asked if the 4th bedroom was accessible from inside the main house, or if it required going outside and downstairs to a separate entrance. . I was clearly told it was inside the main house. This was not true. It is a separate space. Which was completely unsuitable for our family set up. We booked 8 nights for a family trip with our adult children and grandchildren. After arriving late in the day, we were shocked at the condition of the home and unsure as to what to do. We contacted Beachbox who offered to send someone to clean, but this was far beyond a simple cleaning issue, it was a matter of overall condition and maintenance, on top of the lie about the 4th bedroom. Not knowing what to do, we stayed one night, with no sleep before finding a different home to move to the next day with no assistance from Beachbox.I would strongly advise others to avoid this property and company.
