"Beautiful mountain view from an old mountain home turned chic vacation home... so much attention to detail! Very cute decor and great layout for a large family and very kid friendly (ours range from 2-12). Our kids enjoyed both game rooms and we all spent a lot of time playing together in the garage. Thank you for stocking up great board games too! Kids also enjoyed exploring the woods around the house, swinging in the hammocks, and grown ups enjoyed the hot tub in the evening. Great location with proximity to nearby towns of Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. The drive way is steep, so don't be scared and be sure to keep momentum! After our first time up we got the hang of it. Everyone agreed that if we come back this way, we would all want to stay at this home again! Thank you so much!"

"Our family had a wonderful experience! The cabin was clean, beautifully furnished and had everything we needed for a week-long vacation. The check-in and check-out process was very simple and the location of the cabin could not have been more perfect for the activities we had planned."

"Beautiful cabin with a spacious living area and nice decor. Good lighting inside and out for security, and comfortable furniture. AsOther mentioned, there is road noise, but we visited when there were no leaves on the trees and that’s kind of the trade off you get when you want something convenient to Boone and App State. Other than a few wear and tear issues, I give it four stars because it lacked the conveniences and attention to detail that makes an experience excellent.For example- a sugar bowl and salt and pepper shakers displayed, but empty. A large closet to hang clothes with only three wire dry-cleaning hangers and nothing else. A Keurig with no coffee pods for guests. A limit on how much trash you may have without a monetary fine and no way to recycle. I know that these are not deal breakers. We took recycling to campus, bought our own coffee, sugar, salt and pepper, didn’t hang our clothes, and stayed on top of how much trash we put in the can. That said, those types of details are what makes something a truly excellent five star experience that makes you feel like a valued guest versus the feeling you are just another renter. "

"The cabin was dark and smokey. Some of the lamps didn't work. Pictures are deceiving due to a very noisy highway just across the river."

"The Lions Den was a perfect place for a girls trip to the mountains of North Carolina! The directions were spot-on and communication with the owners was prompt. The beds were comfortable, plenty of linens and kitchen supplies, and all the comforts of our own homes. We'll definitely stay here again on future trips."
